When the control unit is at the locking position, the second teeth mesh with the first teeth, the pivot gears are locked, and the shell is at the fixed position. Thus, the linear spring provides a restoring force to the protrusion of the first braking member and eliminates the stress applied on the protrusion of the first braking member and the projection of the castor body.

Thus, when the castor is locked completely, the roller is entirely locked by the locking unit so that the roller cannot roll and translate and cannot be turned around simultaneously so as to provide a double-braking effect. In addition, when the castor is locked partially, the roller is partially locked by the locking unit so that the roller cannot be turned around but can roll and translate freely.

The connecting shaft includes an engaging tab arranged around a bottom end thereof, and the engaging tab has an abutting rim arranged around an upper end thereof The body is injection molded and coupled with a holder by using the connecting shaft. The body includes a hole defined therein so as to insert the connecting shaft, and the hole has a receiving chamber formed therein and communicating with the hole. The connecting shaft is inserted into the hole of the body so that the engaging tab of the connecting shaft is mounted in the receiving chamber of the body. Thereby, when the connecting shaft is coupled with the body, the abutting rim of the engaging tab contacts with a bottom periphery of the hole, such that the connecting shaft is fixed by the bottom periphery of the hole securely.

Thus, when the castor is locked, each of the rollers is locked by the locking module, and the castor body is locked by the stop ring, so that the castor will stop rotating when being braked to provide a double-braking effect.
