  • Patent number: 7937805
Abstract: A castor includes a castor body, two rollers rotatably mounted on the castor body and each having an annular toothed locking section, a locking member movably mounted on the castor body and having two locking flanges each having a toothed engaging portion, and a brake handle pivotally mounted on the castor body to drive the toothed engaging portion of each of the locking flanges of the locking member to engage the toothed locking section of the respective roller. Thus, when the brake handle is pressed to stop rotation of the rollers, the resting face of the pivot base abuts the support rib of the castor body so that the brake handle is operated smoothly and stably without producing vibration during operation of the brake handle, thereby enhancing the braking effect of the castor.

  • Patent number: 7930802
Abstract: A castor includes an upright support post, a brake ring secured on the support post, a castor body rotatably mounted on the support post, two rollers rotatably mounted on the castor body, a first locking member movably mounted on the castor body, a second locking member movably mounted on the castor body, and a brake handle pivotally mounted on the castor body. Thus, when the castor is locked, each of the two rollers is locked onto and cannot be rotated relative to the castor body, and the castor body is locked onto and cannot be rotated relative to the support post, so that the castor will stop rotating when being braked so as to provide a double-braking effect.

  • Publication number: 20110085851
Abstract: A lifting device for the backrest of a chair includes a fixed member, a movable member movably mounted on the fixed member and having an elongate slideway and a plurality of locking grooves, a locking bolt extending into the slideway of the movable member and detachably locked in one of the locking grooves of the movable member, a slide secured on the locking bolt to move the locking bolt, and an elastic member biased between the slide and the fixed member to push the locking bolt toward one of the locking grooves. Thus, the movable member is moved relative to the fixed member to adjust the height of the backrest so that the height of the backrest can be adjusted according to a user's requirement, and the backrest can support the user's back efficiently.

  • Publication number: 20110062763
Abstract: An armrest support assembly for chair includes an upright support member, an outer tube movably and adjustably mounted on the support member and two opposite resting members each secured in the outer tube to move in concert with the outer tube and each abutting the support member during movement of the outer tube relative to the support member. Thus, when the outer tube is moved relative to the support member, the inner wall of each of two resting members presses the support member closely and tightly to stabilize movement of the outer tube relative to the support member, so that the outer tube is moved relative to the support member smoothly and stably without incurring vibration.

  • Patent number: 7725986
Abstract: A castor includes a main body, two rollers, a plurality of rolls, two retaining members, and two covers. Thus, the rolls are rotatably mounted between the main body and the respective roller, so that each of the rollers is rotatable on the main body smoothly. In addition, the rolls and the rollers are made of the same material to reduce the friction between the rolls and the rollers during rotation of the castor, so that the rolls and the rollers are not easily worn out during a long-term utilization. Further, the rollers are covered by the covers so that only the through hole of the main body is exposed outwardly from the covers and the rollers, thereby enhancing the aesthetic quality of the castor.

  • Patent number: 7611206
Abstract: An internally pulling type lift device for a chair armrest includes an outer pipe, a guide track, an inner pipe, a follower, a locking member, a pull handle, a control knob, a restoring spring, and a torsion spring. Thus, the guide track, the follower and the inner pipe are encompassed by the outer pipe so that the manufacturer only needs to spray paint on the outer pipe without having to spray paint on the guide track, the follower and the inner pipe, thereby saving the working time and decreasing the costs of fabrication. In addition, the inner pipe is movable in the outer pipe so that the inner pipe will not rub or scratch the outer surface of the outer pipe, thereby enhancing the aesthetic quality of the outer pipe.

  • Patent number: 7516512
Abstract: A castor includes a main body, two rollers each rotatably mounted on the main body, a stop member movable in the main body between a first position where the stop member is located at a height higher than that of each of the two rollers and a second position where the stop member is located at a height lower than that of each of the two rollers, a slide slidably mounted in the main body to move the stop member, and a control member pivotally mounted on the main body to move the slide. Thus, when the stop member is movable downward to rest on the ground, the two rollers are suspended in the air, so that the castor is locked exactly without slipping or moving on the ground.
