  • Publication number: 20220394487
Abstract: Coordinated Frequency Division Multiplexing (FDM) Transmission Opportunity (TXOP) sharing may be provided by determining that at least two Access Points (APs) of a wireless network support coordinated FDM TXOP sharing. In response to the determination that the at least two APs support coordinated FDM TXOP sharing, at least one of: a first bias is applied to a channel assignment algorithm to promote an assignment of overlapping channels of the at least two APs, and a second bias is applied to the channel assignment algorithm to promote an assignment of adjacent channels of the at least two APs. Next, channels are assigned to the at least two APs based on an output of the channel assignment algorithm.

  • Publication number: 20220394582
Abstract: A method includes transmitting a message over a first link using a first radio of a plurality of radios of a multi-link device and in response to determining that the message was not properly received, selecting a second radio of the plurality of radios of the multi-link device. A second link of the second radio provides a higher probability than the first link that the message will be properly received. The method also includes retransmitting the message over the second link using the second radio.

  • Patent number: 11523283
Abstract: Presented herein are techniques for GPS attack prevention in association with wireless communication devices. In at least one embodiment, a method may include receiving, at a mobile device from a first access point (AP), first location information and one or more of a first token or first neighbor information relating to neighboring APs. The mobile device may receive from a second AP, second location information and one or more of a second token or second neighbor information relating to neighboring APs. The first token may be compared to the second token to determine whether the first and second tokens are consistent, and/or the first neighbor information may be compared to the second neighbor information to determine whether the first and second neighbor information are consistent. It may be determined whether the first location information provided by the first AP and the second location information provided by the second AP are valid based on the comparison(s).

  • Patent number: 11510260
Abstract: A method is performed at a first multilink device configured to communicate wirelessly with a first radio and a second radio of a second multilink device. The method includes accessing a set of parameters for a known mathematical model that establishes a frequency separation to be imposed between transmission from the first radio and reception at the second radio in order to achieve a predetermined reception performance at the second radio when the transmission and the reception are simultaneous. The method further includes, using the known mathematical model, computing the frequency separation based on the set of parameters.

  • Patent number: 11489699
Abstract: According to one or more embodiments of the disclosure, a device receives data regarding wireless communications between a wireless access point and a client. The device evaluates, based on the data, motion of the client relative to the wireless access point. The device makes, based on the motion of the client relative to the wireless access point, a determination that the motion of the client relative to the wireless access point will result in the wireless communications degrading as the client approaches the wireless access point. The device adjusts the wireless communications, based on the determination that the motion of the client relative to the wireless access point will result in the wireless communications degrading as the client approaches the wireless access point.

  • Publication number: 20220322145
Abstract: Mitigation of active link alternation by multi-link devices (MLDs) may be provided. First, at least first and second links may be established between an Access Point (AP) MLD and an associated MLD client. The first link may be active, while the second link may be inactive. A set of traffic load data associated with the links may be collected before and after transmission of a Basic Service Set (BSS) load report to the MLD client. The report may include a traffic load on the second link prior to transmission, where the second link is less loaded than the first link. Based on the collected traffic load data, an active link alternation from the first to the second link by the MLD client responsive to receiving the report may be detected. One or more methods for BSS load report management may then be applied to mitigate future active link alternation.

  • Publication number: 20220303104
Abstract: A wireless access point device is full-duplex capable and serves wireless communication for at least first and second wireless client devices. The wireless access point device sends to the first wireless client device a trigger frame that causes the first wireless client device to send an uplink transmission to the wireless access point after a first time interval. The wireless access point device waits a second time interval after the first wireless client is expected to begin sending the uplink transmission. The wireless access point device receives the uplink transmission from the first wireless client device. After the second time interval, and while receiving the uplink transmission from the first wireless client device, the wireless access point device sends to the second wireless client device a downlink transmission that overlaps at least partially in frequency and time with the uplink transmission from the first wireless client device.

  • Patent number: 11412502
Abstract: Techniques for efficient network probing are provided. Coherence data is received from a plurality of access points (APs), where the coherence data indicates, for each respective AP of the plurality of APs, coherence bandwidth for a plurality of subcarriers. A mapping is generated indicating, for each of the plurality of APs, sets of subcarriers that can be interchangeably sounded. Two or more APs of the plurality of APs that can jointly sound a first subcarrier of the plurality of subcarriers are then identified based on the mapping, and the first subcarrier is allocated to the identified two or more APs for future sounding.
