Patent number: 10922216Abstract: Techniques are included for intelligently testing a software product using a limited number of test cases that are configured to test portions of the software product that have changed since a prior testing. To determine which test cases are best used for testing the implemented changes, a test case-to-programmatic flow mapping may be generated that relates each test case available for testing the software product with each programmatic flow that is tested by the test case. In addition, a programmatic flow-to-artifact mapping may be created that relates each programmatic flow discovered in the software product to each artifact that is accessed, created, changed, or dependent on the programmatic flow. Using these mappings, specific test cases may be determined for testing only those portions of the software product that have changed since the prior testing.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2019Date of Patent: February 16, 2021Assignee: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Vivek Kumar, Catherine You Francis, Meeten Bhavsar, Prabhakara Reddy Munnangi

Patent number: 9380337Abstract: Command packets for a personal video recorder that provides for a transport stream (TS) that contains data and also includes a transport packet (TP)/TS formatted command packets. The TP/TS formatted command packet may be communicated between any number of devices, including multiple chips, multiple boards, and multiple processors. A decoder is able to decode the TP/TS formatted command packet and to perform the appropriate operation on data portions of the TS. When a TS is provided to a device not having the capability to perform the proper decoding of the TP/TS formatted command packet, that particular packet may be deemed as being unidentified (or unknown) adaptation field data. Alternatively, the packet may be identified as being corrupted data and/or irrelevant data.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2010Date of Patent: June 28, 2016Assignee: Broadcom CorporationInventors: Jason Demas, Sandeep Bhatia, Marcus Kellerman, Girish R. Patent number: 8488665Abstract: Presented herein is a system and method for reducing the total size of the frame buffer portion of a decoding circuit. The reduction in size is possible because first portions of B-pictures are displayed while second portions occurring later in the raster order are decoded. The foregoing allows the second portions occurring later in the raster order to overwrite third portions of the picture that have already been displayed. As a result, the frame buffer for providing the frame from a decoder to the display engine need only store the portion that is being displayed and the portion that is being decoded.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2003Date of Patent: July 16, 2013Assignee: Broadcom CorporationInventors: Srinivasa Mogathala Prabhakara Reddy, Sandeep Bhatia, Srilakshmi Dorarajulu

Patent number: 7508874Abstract: Error concealment for motion picture expert group (MPEG) decoding with personal video recording functionality. The present invention is operable to perform error concealment of MPEG data within various components within playback, recording, reading and writing data systems. The present invention is operable within existing systems whose components may not be capable of accommodating errors within MPEG data. Whereas prior art systems typically cannot deal with any corruption without either losing the data or suffering some operational failure, the present invention is able to conceal these errors and to continue decoding and presentation of the MPEG data. In certain embodiments, this involves maximizing the available data that contain no errors to conceal those portions of the data that do include errors. The present invention is operable to accommodate various layers while performing error concealment, including the MPEG transport stream layer, the video layer, and the audio layer.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2002Date of Patent: March 24, 2009Assignee: Broadcom CorporationInventors: Jason C. Publication number: 20060148474Abstract: An RF choke for minimizing hum modulation in a coaxial cable system that carries broadband signals along with high amperage 60 Hz AC power signals. The choke contains two conductors wound about a rod core. The first conductor includes two groups of clockwise windings each containing three turns. The second conductor wound counterclockwise also contains two groups of winding one of which contains four turns and the other of which contains three turns. The two connectors are separated by a space of about 0.20? and a 750 ohm resistor is placed in parallel over the second group of winding in the first conductor and a second 510 ohm resistor is placed in parallel over the first group of windings in the second conductor.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 30, 2004Publication date: July 6, 2006Applicant: National Electronic Devices, Ltd.Inventor: Prabhakara Reddy
