  • Publication number: 20200149140
Abstract: This invention relates to structures and processing imparting self-healing characteristics in Iron, Copper, Zinc, Magnesium, Nickel, Titanium, Gold, Silver and their alloys, and other materials including polymers and ceramics. The composite disclosed consists of a matrix with dispersed hollow macro, micro and nanotubes or balloons or fibers encapsulating a lower melting point or liquid healing material; self-healing results from flow of liquid “healing agent” into the crack. Another type of self-healing material is where the cracks are subjected to compressive stresses due to phase transformations in the matrix or reinforcement, including nano structure matrix and nanosize reinforcements. The compressive stresses could be due to shrinkage of shape memory material in the form of fibers, micro and nano size which deform, or reinforcements when expand upon reaction with atmosphere sealing the crack.

  • Patent number: 10643187
Abstract: Disclosed is a computer-implemented method for maintenance planning for an aircraft. The method includes retrieving, via a processor, a data transmission comprising a plurality of component faults from an aircraft processor while the aircraft is in flight. The processor executes, using a prediction engine, a predictive fault list based on the component faults. The predictive fault list includes a plurality of weighted predictions of authentic component faults and nuisance component faults. The processor prioritizes the weighted predictions of authentic component faults, and generates a maintenance checklist prioritized based on the weighted prediction of authentic component faults. • Patent number: 10621297
Abstract: A computing system determines a first set of registers having constant next-state functions in the netlist. The computing system identifies an observable gate in fan-out of a register in the first set, wherein an observable gate is a gate that is critical to a verification or synthesis context. The computing system identifies a second set of reducible registers in the fan-in of the observable gate. The computing system modifies at least one of an initial value and a next-state function of at least one reducible register of the second set to reflect an observable value of the at least one reducible register observed at the observable gate. The computing system simplifies one or more logic gates implementing the observable gate and the fan-in of the observable gate by eliminating a reference to a constant next-state function register in the first set of registers.
