Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for evaluation of trustworthiness of network devices are proposed. In one aspect, a first network device can determine a first determine a first probability of a security compromise of a second network device based on visible indicators. The first network device can also determine a second probability of the security compromise of the second device based on invisible indicators. The first network device also determines a trust degradation score for the second network device and establishes, based on the trust degradation score, a specified type of communication session with the second network device.

  • Patent number: 10769328
Abstract: Generating a template-driven schematic from a netlist of electronic circuits is disclosed. The template-driven schematic may be useful to generate a set of related circuits for a single overall design as well as allow for a common transfer mechanism between different Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems. To assist in portability of designs, a common file format is disclosed based on a structured text file (e.g., XML). Further, in the disclosed approach, it is possible to not only place primitives but create custom symbols as well. In addition, primitives and symbols may be attached to models, simulation settings may be added, and routing of the circuit in a schematic may be completed. Associated devices and methods are disclosed as well.

  • Publication number: 20200280864
Abstract: This application discloses methods for creating self-organizing networks implemented on heterogeneous mesh networks. The self-organizing networks can include a computing cloud component coupled to the heterogeneous mesh network. In the methods and computer-readable mediums disclosed herein, a processor determines if a user equipment (UE) should hand over its service from a base station to a multi-radio access technology (RAT) node, based on heuristics including one or more of: a distance traveled over a time T1, an average speed over a time T2, a destination stored in internal memory within the UE, a speed limit measurement for a nearby road, a possible direction in which the UE could travel, a signal strength measurement for a servicing base station, and a signal strength measurement for the multi-RAT node. A position profile may be used to predict a future location of the UE.

  • Publication number: 20200260274
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently personalizing or locking a user equipment (UE) for operation with a specific operator. For example, a manufacturer may load multiple operator configurations associated with multiple operators in UE storage such that the UE may support operation with any of the multiple operators. The UE may then allow a user to select an operator from the multiple operators, and the UE may select and apply an operator configuration corresponding to the selected operator to lock the UE for operation with the selected operator. Thus, using these techniques, a user may be able to dynamically personalize or lock a UE for operation with a selected operator. Further, after being personalized or locked for operation with one operator, a UE may be more easily re-personalized or locked for operation with a different operator.

  • Publication number: 20200250068
Abstract: An aspect of the present disclosure aids investigation of performance bottlenecks occurring during execution of software applications. In an embodiment, a set of long sub-sequences of invocations of modules occurring frequently during execution of a software application are identified. Such identified sub-sequences are notified to a user (e.g., administrator) for examination of any performance bottlenecks during execution of the software application. According to another aspect, a log is formed containing super-sequences of invocation of modules formed during execution of the software application. The log is examined to identify a respective frequency of occurrence of multiple sub-sequences of invocations, wherein the set of long sub-sequences are identified based on the identified frequencies and respective length (i.e., number of modules in the sequence) of each of the plurality of sub-sequences of invocations.

  • Publication number: 20200149140
Abstract: This invention relates to structures and processing imparting self-healing characteristics in Iron, Copper, Zinc, Magnesium, Nickel, Titanium, Gold, Silver and their alloys, and other materials including polymers and ceramics. The composite disclosed consists of a matrix with dispersed hollow macro, micro and nanotubes or balloons or fibers encapsulating a lower melting point or liquid healing material; self-healing results from flow of liquid “healing agent” into the crack. Another type of self-healing material is where the cracks are subjected to compressive stresses due to phase transformations in the matrix or reinforcement, including nano structure matrix and nanosize reinforcements. The compressive stresses could be due to shrinkage of shape memory material in the form of fibers, micro and nano size which deform, or reinforcements when expand upon reaction with atmosphere sealing the crack.
