    Abstract: A TRAIL cell-penetrating peptide (CPPs)-like mutant MuR6 and a preparation method and the application thereof. The amino acid sequence of the mutant is SEQ ID NO: 2. The mutant selectively transforms the amino acid coding sequence of No. 114-119 of the outer fragment of the TRAIL wild-type protein cell membrane from VRERGP to RRRRRR, i.e., mutates valine into arginine on the 114th coding sequence, glutamic acid into arginine on the 116th coding sequence, glycine into arginine on the 118th coding sequence and proline into arginine on the 119th coding sequence, turning the coding sequence of N-terminal of the mutant protein into that of six arginines and making it a protein containing CPPs-like structure. Having a superior therapeutic effect on different types of tumor, the TRAIL mutant is a new generation of high-efficient drug for inducing tumor apoptosis of much potential.

    Abstract: A manufacturing method for a substrate for an LCD panel includes providing a substrate, and applying photoresist techniques to form a first wiring layer on the substrate and patterning the first wiring layer to form a first laminating layer. An insulating layer and a semiconductor film are also formed and the semiconductor film is patterned to form a second laminating layer. A second wiring layer is formed and patterned to create a third laminating layer, a passivation layer, and a conductive film, and the conductive film is patterned to form a pixel electrode and a fourth laminating layer. The first, second, third, and fourth laminating layers stack together to form the necessary spacer. A color filter substrate with a constant gap is held between the insulating layer and the first laminating layer, and between the passivation layer and the third laminating layer.

    Abstract: A silicon device, has a plurality of crystalline silicon regions. One crystalline silicon region is a doped crystalline silicon region. Deactivating some or all of the dopant atoms in the doped crystalline silicon region is achieved by introducing hydrogen atoms into the doped 5 crystalline silicon region, whereby the hydrogen coulombicly bonds with some or all of the dopant atoms to deactivate the respective dopant atoms. Deactivated dopant atoms may be reactivated by heating and illuminating the doped crystalline silicon region to break at least some of the dopant-hydrogen bonds while maintaining conditions to create a high concentration of neutral hydrogen atoms whereby 10 some of the hydrogen atoms diffuse from the doped crystalline silicon region without rebinding to the dopant atoms.

    Abstract: A wireless power transfer system including a driver coil array, a hexagonally-packed transmitter mat, a receiver coil, and a load coil for powering a medical implant. The magnetically coupled resonance between two isolated parts is established by an array of primary coils and a single small secondary coil to create a transcutaneous power link for implanted devices as moving targets. The primary isolated part includes a driver coil array magnetically coupled to a mat of hexagonally packed primary coils. Power is injected by the driver coils into the transmitter coils in the transmitter mat to maintain resonance in the presence of losses and power drawn by the receiver coil from the magnetic field. The implanted secondary isolated part includes a receiver coil magnetically coupled to a load coil. A rectification/filter system is connected to the load coil supplying DC power to the electronic circuits of the implant.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides a semi-submersible offshore platform with columns having an enlarged base on the bottom of each column with pontoons coupled between the columns. The enlarged column base can be at least as high as a height of the pontoon and on at least embodiment can be about 50% of the draft of the platform. The enlarged base can change a current flow shape around the base and columns for lower VIM. An outside corner of the base can be trimmed at an angle. Alternatively, the lower portions of the columns can be extended horizontally outward to form an effectively enlarged base having similar characteristics. In some embodiments, the pontoon volume can be reduced inversely proportional to the base enlargement to have comparable total buoyancy.
