    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for available slot counting for slots with subband full duplex (SBFD) and non-SBFD symbols. An example method, performed at a user equipment (UE), generally includes receiving an indication of whether available slot counting is enabled when the UE is configured to transmit or receive multiple repetitions on at least one physical channel, receiving signaling scheduling the UE to transmit or receive multiple repetitions on the at least one physical channel, wherein at least one of the repetitions is scheduled to occur in at least one slot that has multiple different types of symbols within that slot, and processing one or more repetitions on the physical channel, based on the indication and signaling, wherein the processing involves performing available slot counting and determining whether to transmit or receive a repetition on the physical channel in the at least one slot.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described for full-duplex communications using shared radio frequency spectrum. An uplink user equipment (UE) may be scheduled for an uplink transmission in a full-duplex channel occupancy time (COT), concurrently with one or more downlink transmissions of a downlink UE using the same wireless resources. Prior to transmitting the uplink communications, the uplink UE may perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure, may provide an indication that LBT has passed, and then transmit the uplink communication. The network entity may monitor for the indication from the uplink UE and, upon detection, may continue to transmit a downlink grant to the downlink UE. If the network entity does not detect a signal from the uplink UE, it may transmit a different uplink grant to a different uplink UE, or may adjust the downlink transmission to use different resources or transmission parameters.

Generally, a user equipment (UE) may perform an adjustment procedure for one or more frequency resources of an uplink message or a downlink message to avoid collisions within a sub-band full duplex (SBFD) slot. In some cases, the UE may identify that a resource allocation for the downlink message extends over at least a portion of a resource allocation for the uplink message (or a guard band for the uplink message), and may perform the adjustment procedure for the uplink resource allocation. The adjustment procedure may include only using resources of the uplink resource allocation that do not overlap resources of the downlink resource allocation, shifting the uplink resource allocation within an uplink sub-band, or both. Additionally, or alternatively, such techniques may be extended to adjust the downlink resource allocation, for example, based on a type of the downlink message.
