  • Publication number: 20230105748
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for adjustment of transmit powers for different transmissions of a reference signal. Some techniques and apparatuses described herein provide semi-static configuration or dynamic signaling such that a transmit power of a reference signal such as a synchronization signal block (SSB) or a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) can be modified from transmission-to-transmission. Additionally, this disclosure provides modification of a transmit power of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) from transmission-to-transmission, such as using semi-static configuration or dynamic signaling. By modifying transmit power of an SSB, CSI-RS, or PDSCH, a network node may reduce interference and enable full-duplex or enhanced duplex operation. Furthermore, the network node may conserve energy by modifying transmit power.

  • Publication number: 20230107353
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may reduce a transmission power of a scheduled downlink message relative to an expected transmission power of the scheduled downlink message in response to determining that the scheduled downlink message will cause at least a threshold level of interference with a concurrently scheduled uplink message. The base station may transmit the scheduled downlink message to a user equipment (UE) using the reduced transmission power and may transmit, to the UE an indication of a power adjustment for a downlink measurement of the scheduled downlink message. The UE may receive the indication after receiving the scheduled downlink message and may adjust the downlink measurement in accordance with the indication of the power adjustment.

  • Patent number: 11616545
Abstract: Multiple mobility sets are maintained for nodes of radio networks. The sets comprise information such as: transmit and receive point identities; cell identities; beam identities; frequency channels; channel bandwidth; and black lists. The sets may be defined at different levels, such as network and physical (PHY) level. A network mobility set, e.g., a new-radio (NR) mobility set may, be determined by the gNB, the cell, the UE, or another device. Multiple radio access network nodes and UEs may exchange mobility set information to achieve a distributed mobility solution. A UE may monitor its orientation relative to a TRP, e.g., via use of an onboard MEMS gyroscope, and alter its beamforming parameters in response to changes in orientation and/or changes in TRP connection strength. Cell selection and reselection for beam based networks may use Single Frequency Network (SFN) broadcast of initial access signals without beam sweeping.

  • Publication number: 20230090758
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a base station may transmit first control signaling to a first set of user equipments (UEs) which identifies a first common configuration information element indicating a first slot format pattern for use by the first set of UEs. The base station may also transmit second control signaling to a second set of UEs which identifies a second common configuration information element indicating a second slot format pattern for the second set of UEs. The first information element and the second information element may be the same or different based on full-duplexing or half-duplexing capabilities of the UEs. In some other cases, the base station may identify a grouping configuration for assigning respective UEs to first or second UE groups which are either associated with uplink or downlink communications with the full-duplex base station.

  • Publication number: 20230091614
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, a communication device may receive control signaling (e.g., a broadcasted control signal) from another communication device. The control signaling may indicate beam information for one or more beams of a set of beams. The one or more beams may correspond to the serving cell or one or more neighboring cells. The beam information may include one or more metrics associated with each of the one or more beams. As such, the communication device may determine that a metric associated with each of the one or more beams satisfies a threshold, select the beam, and communicate using the selected beam. In some other examples, the beam-specific information may include beam measurement offsets for one or more beams. In such examples, the communication device may select a beam based on the beam measurement offsets and perform communications using the selected beam.

  • Publication number: 20230091873
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In one aspect, a base station may transmit an indication of a communications mode capability associated with establishing a connection with the base station, and a user equipment (UE) may establish a connection with the base station if the UE has the communications mode capability. In this aspect, the base station may bar UEs that lack the communications mode capability from establishing a connection with the base station such that the base station may avoid configuring or scheduling communications differently for devices with different capabilities. In another aspect, a base station may transmit an indication of whether the base station operates in a full-duplex mode, a half-duplex mode, or both, and a UE may establish a connection with the base station based on whether the base station operates in the full-duplex mode, the half-duplex mode, or both.

  • Publication number: 20230081233
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a set of UEs, an indication of a first semi-static traffic pattern between the first UE and a second UE.
