    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose an electronic device control method and system, and a related device. In the method, a mobile terminal reads an application content identifier included in an application that is stored in an electronic device, outputs the application content identifier included in the application, and outputs, after a first selection operation on an output target application content identifier included in the application is detected, a control option list matching the target application content identifier; and on such a basis, the mobile terminal may detect a second selection operation on any one of content control options included in the control option list, and transmit, by using a wireless link, a content control instruction matching a chosen content control option to the electronic device, so as to trigger the electronic device to perform, by using the application, a control operation on application content to which the target application content identifier belongs.

One intended application of the method is a CAPTCHA technique, deployed using a shared Trusted Computing technology over a trusted network of a user terminal, a network server, and a Trusted Party, any of which may be at a Decision Point. The method distinguishes a human user making a legitimate request for network access from a programmed computer making undesired requests, by detecting unusually high network access request frequencies made by an identifiable user and/or a trusted module from the user terminal. The CAPTCHA function is further used to improve the method for controlling access to network services. The information transmitted between the members of the trusted network may be encrypted.

    Abstract: A baffle arrangement disposed within the exhaust flue of a fuel-burning water heater promotes heat transfer from exhausted combustion by-products to the water storage chamber. The baffle arrangement has an elongate planar base and plural exhaust-directing fins spaced along opposite sides of the base. Each fin is a planar body extending perpendicularly from the base at an acute upward angle from a longitudinal centerline to a respective side of the base. The fins deflect combustion by-products laterally outwardly within the flue to promote heat transfer. The fins are of selected configurations generally increasing in surface area upwardly along the planar base for selectively controlling pressure drop within the exhaust flue. Hanger tabs project outwardly from the upper end of the base to suspend the baffle arrangement within the flue. The planar base, hanger tabs and exhaust-directing fins are formed integrally from a unitary body of sheet metal.
