The first distributed unit and the second distributed unit send the data to a terminal device based on the time information. According to the method, the first distributed unit and the second distributed unit can perform synchronous transmission to the terminal device, to improve data transmission reliability.

According to the method disclosed in this application, a data frame transmission failure is identified, and proactive discarding of a data packet in a subsequent data frame associated with the lost data frame is triggered, to avoid a waste of air interface resources and transmission resources, reduce execution of unnecessary decoding operations, and reduce power consumption of the device while improving resource utilization.
