The method includes: A terminal device receives indication information from a network device, where the indication information includes a bit sequence, a value of an ith bit in the bit sequence indicate a usage status of an ith logical channel in M logical channels associated with a radio bearer, and a duplication transmission function is configured for the radio bearer; the terminal device transmits data based on the indication information through at least one logical channel associated with the radio bearer; and because the M logical channels are sorted based on IDs of cell groups associated with the M logical channels and IDs of the M logical channels, the ith bit in the bit sequence included in the indication information indicates the usage status of the ith logical channel in the M logical channels.

The communication method includes: when a radio bearer RB needs to be established between a network device and a terminal device, the network device includes a first node and a second node, and functional entities corresponding to the RB include one PDCP entity and more than two RLC entities corresponding to the PDCP entity. Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a random access method including: A terminal side device obtains first uplink data from a first message buffer, where the first message buffer is a buffer specific to a first random access procedure, the first random access procedure is a procedure in which the terminal side device sends a first random access request, sends first uplink data on a first uplink resource, and receives response information, and the response information is a first random access response to the first random access request or a response to the first uplink data. The terminal side device sends the first random access request to a network side device, and sends the first uplink data to the network side device on the first uplink resource. The terminal side device detects downlink control information, where the downlink control information indicates a resource of the response information.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose example data compression methods and example base stations. One example method includes obtaining, by a base station, identification information of at least one of a data compression device or a data decompression device. A dictionary can then be generated based on the identification information. The dictionary can then be sent to the data compression device and the data decompression device to enable the data compression device and the data decompression device to perform data compression and data transmission based on the dictionary.

Abstract: This application provides a method for determining a configured resource, and an apparatus. The method includes: obtaining, by a terminal device, configuration information of a configured resource from a network device, where the configured resource is a periodic resource, and the configuration information includes a periodicity parameter of the periodic resource; maintaining, by the terminal device, a sequence number for the configured resource, where the sequence number is updated when a system frame number SFN wraps around; and determining, by the terminal device, the configured resource based on the sequence number and the periodicity parameter.

Abstract: According to embodiments of this application, a terminal device may indicate, to a network device, that at least two uplink grants are required for a to-be-sent data packet; or a terminal device sends, to a network device, indication information used to determine that at least two uplink grants are required for a to-be-sent data packet, so that the network device sends the at least two uplink grants for the to-be-sent data packet. Then, the terminal device assembles the to-be-sent data packet into at least two transport blocks, and sends the at least two transport blocks to the network device by using uplink resources indicated by the at least two uplink grants, to reduce a probability that the terminal device completely transmits the to-be-sent data packet at a time, thereby reducing continuous packet loss. This prevents a receiver manipulator from entering a deadlock state.

The method which is implemented by a terminal device includes: receiving a configuration message, where the configuration message indicates the terminal device to establish at least three radio link control (RLC) entities on a first bearer; establishing the at least three RLC entities on the first bearer based on the configuration message; and performing data transmission through at least one RLC entity on the first bearer. According to the application, data transmission reliability is improved and a data transmission latency is reduced.

Abstract: This application provides an example sidelink transmission resource configuration method. Each piece of sidelink data corresponds to one transmission requirement. After obtaining a first data, a terminal device determines a transmission feature of the first resource, and determines, depending on whether reliability of the first resource meets a reliability requirement of the first data, whether to send the first data by using the first resource.
