    Abstract: A bandwidth part processing method and apparatus is provided. The method includes: responsive to expiration of an inactivity timer corresponding to an active first bandwidth part BWP, determining whether a carrier in which the first BWP is located includes a second BWP in an active state; and responsive to determining that the carrier includes the second BWP in the active state, deactivating the first BWP. According to this method, an unnecessary BWP switch procedure can be avoided.

The method includes: A terminal receives indication information of a first threshold and a second threshold, where the second threshold is used to determine that a beam failure occurs on an access network device. The terminal collects statistics on quantities of beam failure instance times of one or more access network devices that communicate with the terminal based on beams in a cell; and performs beam recovery on an access network device whose quantity of beam failure instance times is greater than or equal to the first threshold and less than the second threshold. The method and the apparatus in this application can further reduce a possibility of the beam failure, improve network reliability, and avoid beam failures on a plurality of devices in the cell at the same time.

Correspondingly, a decompression end decompresses an Ethernet header of a compressed Ethernet frame based on the first correspondence when receiving the compressed Ethernet frame. In the embodiments of this application, because the Ethernet header of the Ethernet frame is compressed, communication resources is saved.
