    Abstract: In a wireless multi-hop relay network arranged in a tree topology, the base station and one or more relay stations are associated as a virtual base station (VBS). The base station and each relay station have a unique virtual base station identifier (VBS-ID) associated with the path defined by the base station and the one or more relay stations. A relay station in the branch uses its VBS-ID for communicating with an attached subscriber station (e.g. a mobile station) such that communications between the base station and subscriber station occur via the VBS. Subscriber station data communications are relayed between the base station and the one or more relay stations over the VBS via a tunnel connection. The VBS is auto configurable. Mobility for subscriber stations and 10 relay stations is provided through reconfiguration of VBS's.

    Abstract: Techniques for decoding potentially corrupted Reed-Solomon encoded messages are provided. To decode a message, an incoming message is classified into a group based on which symbols of the message have survived (a “survival pattern”). The same inversion matrix may be used for each survival pattern associated with a single group. This reduces the amount of work required and data that is to be stored in order to perform the matrix multiplication that decodes the message.

    Abstract: In some embodiments, a non-transitory processor-readable medium storing code representing instructions to be executed by a processor comprises code to cause the processor to determine, during a calibration of a coherent optical transmitter, a set of parameters associated with each tributary channel by sending a first signal to a digital signal processor (DSP) to adjust a scale factor of that tributary channel. The scale factor is associated with a tap characteristic of a finite impulse response (FIR) filter of the DSP. The code further causes the processor to determine a power imbalance between two tributary channels based on the set of parameters associated with each tributary channel. The code further causes the processor to send a second signal to the coherent optical transmitter to adjust a set of operational settings of the coherent optical transmitter based on the power imbalance and the set of parameters associated with each tributary channel.

By using a new recurrent coherent detection network, a bounding box for an object to be detected is fast detected from the data acquired by a DVS. Since non-event pixel points are not required to participate in the matching of pixel points, even if it is difficult to distinguish between the non-event pixel points or the non-event pixel points are occluded, depth information of the non-event pixel points can be accurately determined according to the location information of neighboring event pixel points.

A radioactivity detector is configured to detect whether the inspected object comprises radioactive material synchronously with the process of scanning implemented by the scanning and imaging apparatus. In a case that the radioactivity detector detects radioactive material, an actual position of the radioactive material in an X-ray image of the inspected object obtained by the scanning and imaging apparatus is marked in the image. The above solutions improve the accuracy of displaying the position of the radioactive source in the X-ray image. Further, inspection of radioactive material can be implemented while scanning an image.

    Abstract: A load detection circuit includes a first switch, a second switch, a low voltage output module, a high voltage output module, a detection module, and a control module. The detection module detects states of a load and outputs a detected result to the control module. The control module determines whether the load is normal and connected, according to the detected result. When the control module determines that the load is connected and short-circuited, or the load is connected and open-circuited, or the load is disconnected, the control module controls the high voltage output module to stop working, controls the second switch to be turned off, and controls the first switch to be turned on periodically.
