  • Publication number: 20220255774
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for using multiple MBSSIDs associated with groups of VAPs for an AP. The groups of VAPs can be determined for an AP based on various characteristics that separate one group of VAPs from another group of VAPs. Each group of VAPs can be associated with an MBSSID based on the BSSIDs of the VAPs in the group of VAPs. The AP can broadcast the MBSSIDs of each group of VAPs instead of broadcasting an MBSSID for all VAPs associated with the AP.

  • Publication number: 20220200924
Abstract: Systems and techniques are described that are directed to intelligent scheduling of Wi-Fi services for applications, including enhanced dynamic prioritization. A device, such as an access point (AP), can receive data packets from multiple connected devices to dynamically identify an application flow for each data packet, and dynamically identify a user associated with the application flow for each data packet. The AP can generate prioritized candidate lists for selected data packets in queues corresponding to an access category (AC). In response to determining that the identified user associated with the application flow corresponds with a critical user, the AP can select data packets for the prioritized candidate lists based at least in part on priority policies for each of a plurality of applications and based at least in part on dynamic prioritization of applications for each of a plurality of applications; and schedule data packets from the prioritized candidate lists.

  • Publication number: 20220182931
Abstract: In embodiments of the present disclosure, there is provided an approach for managing Target Wake Time (TWT) clients in a congested environment. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a TWT client transmits, to an AP, a request to negotiate a schedule for a TWT session. The request comprises a first set of TWT parameters requested by the TWT client. The AP determines, based on respective sets of TWT parameters of existing TWT sessions and the first set of TWT parameters, a second set of TWT parameters for the TWT client to minimize overlap between the TWT session and the existing TWT sessions. The AP transmits a response comprising the second set of TWT parameters to the TWT client. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an effective way for assigning air resources to multiple TWT clients in a congested environment, thereby reducing collisions among TWT sessions.

  • Publication number: 20220132528
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for synchronizing uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) traffic. In particular, frames associated with Quality of Service (QoS}-sensitive traffic flows to be transmitted in a first direction are prioritized commensurate with frames to be transmitted in a second direction, different/opposite to that of the first direction. For example, UL traffic flows can be prioritized based on DL traffic flows, where the traffic flows belong to the same application flow, and vice versa, where DL traffic flows can be prioritized based on UL traffic flows for the same application flow. In this way, end-to-end QoS can be achieved.
