    Abstract: A pixel circuit includes a trench etched into a front side surface of a semiconductor substrate. The trench includes a bottom surface etched along a <100> crystalline plane and a tilted side surface etched along a <111> crystalline plane that extends between the bottom surface and the front side surface. A floating diffusion is disposed in the semiconductor substrate beneath the bottom surface of the trench. A photodiode is disposed in the semiconductor substrate beneath the tilted side surface of the trench and is separated from the floating diffusion. The photodiode is configured to photogenerate image charge in response to incident light. A tilted transfer gate is disposed over at least a portion of the bottom surface and at least a portion of the tilted side surface of the trench. The tilted transfer gate is configured to transfer the image charge from the photodiode to the floating diffusion.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of quantum communication, especially a quantum key distribution device that can be configured with multiple protocols. It uses the simplified Faraday-Michelson interference ring in combination with the intensity modulator to perform timestamp encoding in a chopping manner. The phase modulation is completed with a Sagnac ring device composed of a single-polarization phase modulator, a polarization beam splitter and a Faraday rotator, so as to achieve the purpose of composite encoding and decoding, thus realizing a quantum key distribution device which can be configured with multiple protocols and multiple decoy state schemes. This device can be compatible with multiple protocols including BB84 protocol, the reference frame-independent protocol, the six-state protocol and SARG protocol and is characterized with polarization-independent phase modulation and low system complexity.

    Abstract: An active feedback control method for a quantum communication system based on machine learning is disclosed. In the transmission process of a quantum key distribution system, the present invention uses a pre-trained double-layer LSTM network to predict, according to a real-time ambient temperature, humidity and laser light intensity fluctuation, as well as voltage changes in the past moment, a zero-phase voltage value of a phase modulator at a receiving end at the next moment, and updates the network at a fixed time interval, so that the LSTM network can accurately predict for a long time, ensuring that the quantum key distribution system operates stably and efficiently for a long time. The present invention greatly improves the transmission efficiency of the quantum key distribution system by method of active prediction and feedback control.
