Patent number: 12093616Abstract: A method and a system for ship stability prediction by weighted fusion of RBFNN and random forest based on GD are provided. Firstly, input characteristics when predicting failure probabilities under different failure modes are determined through prior knowledge. Secondly, a mean square error of k-fold cross-validation is used as performance evaluation criterion of the RBFNN and the RF to search for model capacities of the RBFNN and the RF. Then, network parameters of the RBFNN are updated. Multiple random sample sets are generated using a bootstrap sampling method and are parallelly trained to generate multiple regression trees. A Gini index is used as an attribute division index, and a prediction result of the random forest is obtained. Finally, weight coefficients are introduced for weighted fusion of prediction results of the RBFNN and the RF. The weight coefficient is obtained by solving through iterative optimization of the gradient descent.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 2024Date of Patent: September 17, 2024Assignee: HUAZHONG UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYInventors: Xianbo Xiang, Chaicheng Jiang, Gong Xiang, Shaolong Yang, Qin Zhang

Patent number: 12087320Abstract: A system may be configured to detect custom acoustic events, where the system generates an acoustic event profile for the custom acoustic event based on a natural language description provided by a user and using an audio sample of the described acoustic event. For example, the user may describe the custom acoustic event as “dog bark.” The system may ask the user questions to refine the description (e.g., dog breed, dog gender, age, etc.). Using an audio sample of the refined description, the system may then determine that audio captured in the user's environment is a potential sample of the custom acoustic event. Such captured audio may be presented to the user for confirmation, and then may be used to detect future occurrences of the custom acoustic event in the user's environment.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2022Date of Patent: September 10, 2024Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Qin Zhang, Qingming Tang, Ming Sun, Chao Wang, Steve Mark Lorusso, Andrew Thomas Bydlon, James Garnet Droppo, Viktor Rozgic, Sripal Mehta, Yang Liu

Publication number: 20240283695Abstract: A fault information processing method implemented by a first interface with a physical layer (PHY) chip and a media access control layer (MAC) chip, includes, after receiving first fault information sent by a second interface communicating with the first interface, sending by the PHY chip second fault information to the MAC chip, where the first fault information indicates that the second interface detects a fault, and the second fault information indicates that the fault is from the second interface. Because the PHY chip has received the first fault information, a link between the PHY chip and the second interface is normal. Because the MAC chip can normally receive the second fault information, it indicates that communication between the PHY chip and the MAC chip is normal. The fault information processing method is used to determine the fault from the second interface.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2024Publication date: August 22, 2024Inventors: Xiang He, Qin Zhang, Weijun Le, Jin Wang

Publication number: 20240241815Abstract: Disclosed methods for selecting test cases determine differences between first and second versions of firmware. The first version may correspond to a version currently in use while the second version represent an update to the first version, including one or more bug fixes and/or additional features. Based at least in part on the differences between the two versions, one or more functions most likely to be impacted by the update are identified. Disclosed methods and system may then modify binary code for the second firmware version to cause the one or more impacted functions, when called, to return unconditionally a predetermined error value. With the firmware thus modified, a plurality of test cases are executed one time. Any test cases failing with the appropriate error value are identified as selected test cases and included within a group of target test cases for performing regression testing of the second version.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 28, 2023Publication date: July 18, 2024Applicant: Dell Products L.P.Inventors: Xiaowei SHEN, Qin ZHANG, Celine Ling XU, Jin QIN

Patent number: 11977201Abstract: The invention discloses an integrated detection method of electromagnetic searching, locating and tracking for subsea cables. After being launched into water, the cable-tracking AUV carries out primary Z-shaped reciprocating sailing to search the electromagnetic signal of the target subsea cable, when the electromagnetic signal reaches a preset threshold value, the AUV executes the cable-tracking detection. In the tracking process, if the target electromagnetic signal intensity is lower than the preset threshold, it is determined that subsea cable tracking is lost. At this time, the secondary Z-shaped cable-researching route planning and tracking are performed based on the lost point. In the process that the AUV autonomously tracks and detects the subsea cable, relative locating between AUV and subsea cable is performed based on the electromagnetic signal radiated by the subsea cable, and autonomous tracking control under the guidance of the electromagnetic locating signal is performed.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2022Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: HUAZHONG UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYInventors: Xianbo Xiang, Jialei Zhang, Shaolong Yang, Qin Zhang, Gong Xiang, Guohua Xu
