  • Patent number: 12106791
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to spin-orbit torque (SOT) devices comprising a bismuth antimony (BiSb) layer. The SOT devices further comprise one or more GeXNiFe layers, where at least one GeXNiFe layer is disposed in contact with the BiSb layer. The GeXNiFe layer has a thickness less than or equal to about 15 ? when used as an interlayer on top of the BiSb layer or less than or equal to 40 ? when used as a buffer layer underneath the BiSb. When the BiSb layer is doped with a dopant comprising a gas, a metal, a non-metal, or a ceramic material, the GeXNiFe layer promotes the BiSb layer to have a (012) orientation. When the BiSb layer is undoped, the GeXNiFe layer promotes the BiSb layer to have a (001) orientation. Utilizing the GeXNiFe layer allows the crystal orientation of the BiSb layer to be selected.

  • Publication number: 20240314595
Abstract: User equipment (UE) may detect a disaster condition, and the resolution thereof, based on broadcast information, RRC messaging, NAS messaging, the ability to connect to an allowable PLMN, and indications from forbidden PLMNs. In a disaster condition, a UE may perform an enhanced PLMN selection procedure wherein, for example, the UE will not consider PLMNs that are in a disaster situation if the disaster situation applies to a current location of the UE, prioritize forbidden PLMNs for disaster roaming connection. For disaster roaming connection, the UE may be configured by an otherwise forbidden PLMN with information about what services the UE can access and what type of authentication procedure the network is able to perform with UE. Upon detecting that the disaster condition is over, the UE move back to an allowable PLMN.

  • Publication number: 20240311621
Abstract: The proposed approach deals with efficient transmission for distributed AI with a provision to switch among multiple bandwidths. During the distributed inference at edge devices, each device needs to load part of the AI model only once, but the input/output features communicated between them can be flexibly configured depending on the available transmission bandwidth by enabling/disabling connection between nodes in the Dynamic feature size Switch (DySw). When some nodes are connected or disconnected in order to achieve the desired compression factor, other parameters of the DNN remain the same. That is, the same DNN model is used for different compression factors, and no new DNN model needs to be downloaded to adapt to the compression factor or the network bandwidth.
