  • Patent number: 11349338
Abstract: This disclosure involves verifying that a power network model corresponds to an electric power network providing electrical power in a geographical area. For instance, a validation device computes a validation score for a power network model based on a connectivity score, an asset score, and a power-flow score. The connectivity score indicates connectivity errors in the power network model as compared to the power network. The asset score indicates power-delivery errors in the power network model with respect to power-consuming assets serviced by the power network. The power-flow score indicates power-flow calculation errors in the power network model with respect to voltage ranges for the power network. The validation score is repeatedly computed for iteratively updated versions of the power network model until a threshold validation score is obtained. The validated power network model is provided to a control system for identifying and correcting errors in the power network.

  • Patent number: 11339630
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for recovery of hydrocarbons in a geological reservoir by injection of a low-salinity aqueous solution. A representative model of the evolution of the flow parameters as a function of the aqueous solution salinity is calibrated by use of laboratory measurements performed on a rock sample from the reservoir for at least two salinity values. Then, by use of a flow simulator including the calibrated model, the injection of aqueous solutions into the sample is simulated, with and without capillary effects, for at least the two salinity values with a microscopic residual oil saturation being determined for each salinity value. Then, from the flow simulator including the calibrated model and the microscopic residual oil saturation values, a reservoir development scheme is determined with hydrocarbons of the reservoir being exploited according to the development scheme.

  • Publication number: 20220141262
Abstract: IoT service layer capabilities may be employed to automate and simplify the service enrollment process for IoT service subscribers/enrollees. These capabilities enable virtualization of a service subscriber and the physical IoT devices, applications, data and authorized users of the subscriber into a software profile that is representative of the subscriber. Once virtualized, a service subscriber may then delegate the complexities and burden of service enrollment to an automated IoT service enrollment software function.

  • Publication number: 20220141309
Abstract: Some underlying networks such as Low-Power Wide-Area Networks (LPWAN) have limited communication bandwidth and strict requirements on maximum message size. It is recognized herein that these requirements may pose a challenge for data or resource exchange between two service layer (SL) entities, for example, because resource representations to be exchanged may have too large a size to be supported by the underlying networks. In some cases, traditional data compression algorithms can be used to alleviate this problem to some degree, but it is recognized herein that there are associated computation costs due to compression and decompression that may not be affordable for constrained IoT devices. Various embodiments described herein address this problem, among others, by defining a Resource Representation Common Part (RRCP) and storing it at the service layer.
