  • Patent number: 11250716
Abstract: Techniques are provided for identifying and presenting contextual course recommendations. A browser extension analyzes text within web content that is being displayed on a computing device. The browser extension, as part of the analysis, identifies one or more keywords. The browser extension transmits the one or more keywords over a computer network to a remote computer system. For each keyword, the remote computer system identifies one or more courses and one or more relevance scores, each of which reflects a relevance measure between the keyword and a course of the one or more courses. The remote system transmits, to the browser extension, course identification data that identifies one or more particular courses. The browser extension causes the course identification data to be displayed on the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20210253453
Abstract: The disclosure claims a magnetizing device and method for preparing magnetized water for dust fall of an underground coal mine. The device is formed by a plurality of magnetic drums in a parallel connection with connecting elbows in a ā€œUā€-shaped arrangement manner. Each magnetic drum consists of an external magnet, an internal magnet, a hollow pressure pipe, a spiral blade, a screen magnet cover, a connecting steel column, a pressure pipe, a closed nut and a flange plate. According to the disclosure, the internal and external magnets are arranged on a spiral flow channel consisting of the hollow pressure pipe, the spiral blade and the pressure blade by means of an alternating arrangement, thereby building an efficient magnetization environment combined by pulse cutting magnetization and spiral turbulence, enabling that the water for dust fall flowing through is magnetized continuously and efficiently.

  • Patent number: 10439433
Abstract: A method of self-healing power grids after power outages includes providing an Adaptive Restoration Decision Support System (ARDSS) for generating a restoration solution using static and dynamic input data from power generator(s) powering transmission lines, from the transmission lines and loads. At a beginning of a restoration period a two-stage problem is solved including a first and second-stage problem with an optimal planning (OP) function as a mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) problem using initial static and dynamic data to determine start-up times for the power generator and energization sequences for transmission lines involved in the power outage. Only the second-stage problem is again solved with an optimal real-time (OR) function using the start-up times and energization sequences along with updated static and dynamic data to determine operating parameters for the grid.

  • Patent number: 10370015
Abstract: A method and system for determining a separation distance between a first object and a second object comprises using a search module associated with a first object comprising a first transponder having a unique address. The method includes using a reply module associated with a second object comprising a second transponder having a different, unique address. The method includes the search module transmitting a search signal on a first frequency, said search signal including the address of the first transponder and the address of the second transponder. The reply module receives the search signal and locally validates the address included in said received search signal for the second transponder, whereby, if the validation is positive; the reply module transmits a reply signal on a second, different frequency.
