    Abstract: An oil change drain valve includes a hollow valve body and a hollow body valve actuator arranged coaxial with the valve body. The valve body is adapted for insertion into an oil pan and houses a check ball and a spring arranged to urge the check ball into a closed position. The valve actuator is adapted for temporary insertion into a lower end of the valve body and includes a bayonet at its upper end. As the valve actuator moves toward the check ball, the bayonet contacts the ball and urges it into an open position. Oil flows through the valve body and actuator unimpeded by any mechanical or moving parts.
