  • Patent number: 6406217
Abstract: A lifting and placement device for seabed mats. The device has a frame made of a first and second support beam each of which have a release shaft located adjacent thereto. The release shafts are rotatably engaged to a central actuation shaft that when turned cause the release shafts to rotate thereby removing displaceable support pins from retaining supports. Once the support pins are released from the supports, a seabed mat which is supported below the device is released on all sides of the frame. The device has the ability to connect a plurality of frames in end to end relationship allowing a single rotational force applied to an actuation lever to be transmitted along the conjoined frames.

  • Patent number: 6382276
Abstract: The invention relates to a slotless router base plate used for mounting routers by a majority of manufacturers to a router table. A router is attached to a baseplate, and then this router-baseplate assembly is attached to a router table. Numerous hole grouping patterns are provided to accommodate various routers, eliminating the need for users of the baseplate to create holes for specific router models themselves. Slots in the router baseplate are avoided to provide for greater strength and stability in the mounting. An alternative embodiment includes providing a labeling for the hole groups. The router baseplate may be round, but alternative shapes are provided, including providing the hole pattern directly in the router table.

  • Publication number: 20020043296
Abstract: Router tables, generally used for woodworking, have fences used to guide workpieces during cutting. The router table has a table top which has a top work surface and a router bit hole through the table top. A plurality of support legs are provided below the table top. A safety shield is positioned above the router bit hole. The workpiece fence has left and right fences which operate independently of each other. The left and right fences slide on the top work surface in a front to rear direction and a side to side direction. A feather flap extends from the workpiece fence and holds the workpiece down against the table top during cutting. A miter guide is provided that has a slide guide for stabilizing the work piece. Also, a dovetail/boxjoint bar that can be slidably adjusted is provided. A variety of routers are accommodated by a number of hole patterns provided in the table top.

  • Publication number: 20020021510
Abstract: An environmentally sealed color filter is provided which includes a housing having a top side, a bottom side, a front side, a rear side, and a pair of lateral sides, the housing having a first window on the front side and a second window on the rear side. The housing is substantially water-proof or impermeable to water in that when submerged in water at depths of up to 50 feet and for time periods of up to 24 hours, no water will pass from the exterior of the housing to the interior of the housing. A color filter, such as the Color Fader™ color filter manufactured by Morpheus Technologies, LLC and described in U.S. Pat. No. 5,126,886, is secured within the housing. Also secured within the housing is at least one heat exchanger. The heat exchanger dissipates heat generated within the housing.

  • Patent number: 6341448
Abstract: A power sliding door for a motor vehicle comprises a door structure, a power drive assembly, a latch assembly, and a single motor for operating both the latch assembly and the power drive assembly. The door structure is mounted on a track associated with the motor vehicle, the door structure being movable along the track between opened and closed positions. The power drive assembly is connected with the door and capable of being driven to move the door along the track between the opened and closed positions. The latch assembly is mounted on the door and movable between latched and unlatched positions. The single motor is mounted on the door structure operatively connected with both the power drive assembly and the latch assembly. The motor drives the power drive assembly and thus enables the power drive assembly to move the door along the track between the opened and closed positions.

  • Publication number: 20020007655
Abstract: A security locking system that includes a cross bar pivotally connected at one end in a manner to pivot in two planes, a locking brace connected to a door frame at an opposite point from the point of the pivoting connection of the cross bar in a locking brace which includes an actuating mechanism which rotates around the locking bar and pulls the locking bar into a U-shaped sleeve. In an alternative embodiment, a segmented cross-bar is located totally within the door and is lengthened or shortened by rotation of a key on the outside of the door to enter or exit a pair of receptacles in the door frames to lock the door, or to open the door, respectively.

  • Patent number: 6296385
Abstract: A probe for measuring the viscosity and/or temperature of high temperature liquids, such as molten metals, glass and similar materials comprises a rod which is an acoustical waveguide through which a transducer emits an ultrasonic signal through one end of the probe, and which is reflected from (a) a notch or slit or an interface between two materials of the probe and (b) from the other end of the probe which is in contact with the hot liquid or hot melt, and is detected by the same transducer at the signal emission end. To avoid the harmful effects of introducing a thermally conductive heat sink into the melt, the probe is made of relatively thermally insulative (non-heat-conductive) refractory material. The time between signal emission and reflection, and the amplitude of reflections, are compared against calibration curves to obtain temperature and viscosity values.

  • Publication number: 20010005225
Abstract: An electronic exposure control system for an active pixel CMOS image sensor includes a row decoder and a column decoder for respective row-wise and column-wise addressing of the image signal generating pixels. The decoders receive row and column addresses and control signals from a controller. The row addresses received by the row decoder are alternately switched between a predetermined row address for resetting the image signals of pixels in said row and another predetermined spaced apart row address for enabling the image signals of pixels in said selected row to be read out by the column decoder. By providing a predetermined sequence of row addresses, a “rolling shutter” can be created and/or the exposure time of the pixels can be selected to be different from the time to expose an entire frame. The image sensor can also be operated in an interlaced mode and/or specific areas on the image sensor can be selected to be reset and read out.
