    Abstract: A protective, plastic cover for a concrete pole base has a cover wall, a cover top and a cover boot. The cover wall is made of interlocking slats with raised reinforcement portions. A two-piece cover top covers the top of the pole base. A cover boot encircles the pole and fills the gap between the cover top and the pole. The cover boot is radially adjustable to accommodate off center utility poles.

    Abstract: A protective cover for drains and other holes is provided which prevents spills and unwanted liquids from flowing therein. The protective cover includes a durable backing layer and a pliable, tacky sealing layer adjacent a portion of the durable backing layer which conforms and adheres to a surface surrounding the drain to reduce or eliminate the flow of liquids into the drain. The pliable, tacky sealing layer can have a periphery inside the periphery of the durable backing layer.

    Abstract: A smoking material receptacle reduces or eliminates smoldering of discarded smoking materials and prevents smoke and odor from escaping from the receptacle. The smoking material is inserted in an angled chute near the top of the receptacle. The chute has an upper opening and a lower opening. In one embodiment, the lower opening of the chute lies substantially within a vertical plane. The arrangement of the chute within the receptacle substantially reduces or eliminates the escape of smoke and odor from the receptacle.

    Abstract: According to one aspect, the present invention is an alignment-affixing device having at least two portions, for affixing a projecting member, such as an anchor bolt, through an opening in a support structure, such as a concrete masonry unit, substantially at a right angle. The alignment-affixing device includes a locking collar substantially disposed on an interior side of the concrete masonry unit, and an alignment cap substantially disposed on an exterior side obverse to the interior side. When the anchor bolt is placed through said locking collar and said alignment cap, and when said locking collar and said alignment cap are interlocked, the anchor bolt is affixed substantially at a right angle to the concrete masonry unit.

The protective cover includes a sheet of flexible, liquid impermeable material having top and bottom surfaces. A pliable, liquid impermeable material is attached to the bottom surface of the sheet around a peripheral edge of the sheet. The pliable, liquid impermeable material includes an exposed surface that is tacky so that it ahderes to a surface surrounding the drain or other hole to prevent the flow of liquid therebetween.
