  • Patent number: 5612923
Abstract: Disclosed is a design detail for an innovative time multiplexed read port architecture implemented as part of a high-speed 9-port time slot interchange random access memory. It provides a practical, high-speed, low-power and area efficient read port structure to allow eight random access reads per clock cycle. Because all timing is internally generated from a single rising clock transition of a system clock signal, no special control or clocking is required externally to the memory.

  • Patent number: 5609393
Abstract: A toddler carrier comprising a shell having a seat, back and sides, and a separate base. A rigid link pivotally attaches the lower rear of the shell to one end of the base. An axle connects the lower front of the shell to the other end of the base. The sides of the shell include slots which accept the axle. A spring-biased release handle is located beneath the front of the seat with integral release arms angularly located beneath the seat. The release arms are pivotally connected to the shell at their distal ends and have a plurality of notches which selectively mate with the axle. Any notch may be selected by depressing the release handle and pivoting the shell with a subsequent release of the handle.

  • Patent number: 5591185
Abstract: A method for reprofiling or otherwise smoothing and enhancing the anterior or stromal cornea by scraping. The method is useful as a primary technique for reprofiling the stromal portion of the cornea following a lamellar keratectomy or as a secondary technique for use in combination with other corneal refractive procedure to dislocate debris and smooth and enhance a worked area of the cornea.

  • Patent number: 5561638
Abstract: A multi-port SRAM (static random access memory) core array has a core cell with a single-ended, pseudo-differential write access port and differential, indirect access read ports. The architecture of the features of the multi-port SRAM core array allows direct scaling of the number of write and read access ports to any practical limit with no adverse effects on cell stability margins and therefore data integrity.

  • Patent number: 5521393
Abstract: Time consuming analyzing of the dressing levels on bowling lanes is eliminated through the use of an apparatus that includes a path of travel (48) for a sample strip, a light source (50) on one side of the path (48) and a photosensitive sensor (46) on the other side of the path. A feed roller (60) is journaled adjacent the path and is driven by a stepper motor (58) in predetermined increments. An analog to digital converter (40) is connected to the sensor (36) for receiving analog signals therefrom and converting the same to digital signals. A random access memory (38) is connected to the converter (40) for receiving signals therefrom and for storing data represented by the signals. A central processing unit (34) is provided for operating the motor (58), the sensor (46) and the random access memory (38).

  • Patent number: 5458398
Abstract: A child's car seat having a recessed area in the back through which the vehicle seat belt passes. Apertures in the left and right sides of the recessed area allow the vehicle seat belt to be threaded through one opening, across the recessed area, and through the other opening. The recess is partially covered with a molded panel leaving a restricted opening at the bottom of the recessed belt path with the opening sufficient to allow the vehicle seat belt to be threaded from the front of the seat. The padding covering the seat has a slit adjacent the restricted opening.

  • Patent number: 5457605
Abstract: An electronic device (100) has a heatsink (116) and electrical contacts (120) which are originally all part of a support frame (200). After assembly, the border of the support frame (202) is broken off, thereby electrically isolating the electrical contacts (120) from one another, and from the heatsink (116). The electrical contacts (120) and the heatsink (116) are coplanar. In one version, the electrical contacts (120) do not extend past the circuit board (102) of the device (100).

  • Patent number: 5454537
Abstract: A cup holder is provided to attach to a piece of furniture. The cup holder includes a base formed to include spaced-apart side-by-side cup receiving receptacles, a mounting fixture apended to the base, and spaced-apart furniture engaging clamps apended to the mounting fixture. The mounting fixture includes a V-shaped channel formed by a V-shaped side wall and a V-shaped flange which allows the cup holder to engage two sides of the piece of furniture (e.g., the corner of a table).

  • Patent number: 5430422
Abstract: A circuit breaker includes a housing; separable electrical contacts; an operating mechanism having a handle arm for operation and also having ON, trip, OFF and reset positions; a trip mechanism for tripping the operating mechanism to the trip position in response to a predetermined electrical condition of the separable contacts; and a blocking mechanism for blocking movement of the operating mechanism, beyond the OFF position and toward the reset position, when the operating mechanism is moved from the ON to the OFF position. The circuit breaker may also have a latch mechanism for latching the operating mechanism when it is not in the trip position, a reset mechanism for resetting the latch, and a cradle mechanism which is latched by the latch. The blocking mechanism may be pivotally connected to a knee-pin of the operating mechanism and the cradle may have a cross-pin cooperating with the blocking mechanism.
