Abstract: A catheter system for atraumatic placement along a guidewire includes: a catheter including a cylindrical catheter body that defines a longitudinally extending interior lumen; and a guide device. The guide device includes: a conduit member for insertion into the interior lumen of the catheter body; a leading structure connected to a forward end of the conduit member, the leading structure including a cone and a sleeve extending forward from the cone; and an inner guide hole extending longitudinally through the leading structure and conduit member. In use, the guide device and catheter body are coaxially arranged, the cone is forward of the catheter, and the sleeve extends forward from the cone. The cone includes a shoulder, and a tapered exterior that increases diametrically from the sleeve to the shoulder. The shoulder abuts a distal end of the catheter to register insertion of the guide device in the catheter.

Abstract: In a method for dynamically binding data in an application, an expression describing a relation between a first property of a first data of the application to a first property of a second data of the application is received. A binding is created between the first data and the second data based on the relation. A change is propagated to the first property of the second data based on a change to the first property of the first data. The receiving the expression and the creating the binding are repeated to create a plurality of bindings based on a plurality of expressions, and the receiving the expression and the creating the binding occur dynamically during an execution of the application.

Abstract: Structures and methods for controlling road temperature over an underpass space are disclosed, including a structure comprising: footings underlying the road supporting a support assembly comprising: an inner shell; a plurality of beams surmounting the inner shell; an insulating material for thermally isolating the road and the remainder of the support assembly from the underpass space; an outer shell; a temperature control assembly; temperature sensors disposed in the road and the support assembly; and a computer processor configured to receive temperature and weather forecast data; predict changes to the temperature of the support assembly and the road based on the temperature and forecast data; and control the application or removal of heat to the support assembly, based on the predicted changes to the temperature of the support assembly and the road, resulting in the road maintaining a temperature within a predetermined range.

Abstract: In a method for displaying a three dimensional interface on an electronic device, a three dimensional user interface control with three dimensional effects is displayed on a display of the electronic device, the three dimensional effects based at least in part on a position of a user relative to the display. The position of the user relative to the display is tracked. Responsive to detecting a change in the position of the user relative to the display, the three dimensional effects of the three dimensional user interface control are dynamically changed based at least in part on the change in the position of the user relative to the display.

Abstract: Systems and methods for cardless authentication of a user at an automated teller machine are described. The ATM may be operated by a financial institution such as a bank. The method comprises displaying an initial screen on the ATM and authenticating the user at the ATM using authentication information transferred from a mobile device. The method further comprises determining available service options for the user of the ATM based upon the cardless authentication of the user at the ATM using the mobile device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for enhancing the representation of outliers in a distribution of telemetry data of a monitored system are provided. According to one embodiment, telemetry data of the monitored system may be continuously collected. Frequency values representing a frequency of occurrence of corresponding telemetry data of the collected telemetry data may be generated by aggregating the collected telemetry data. As the vast majority of telemetry data is expected to represent a normal operating state of the system and relatively few, if any, of the telemetry data (e.g., outliers) will be indicative of one or more events of significance, the resulting distribution of the frequency values is highly skewed. In order to facilitate visualization of the distribution that accentuates the outliers, display characteristics may be calculated for the frequency values by applying a visualization model based on a weighted combination of multiple data transformations to each of the frequency values.

Abstract: A computer system and a transaction machine (such as an automated teller machine (ATM)) of the same financial institution, can provide a third party customer the ability to pay bills, issued by the third party, at the ATM. A third party computer system communicates with the financial institution computer system to register the third party customer and obtain a first passcode associated with the third party customer. The financial institution computer system communicates the passcode and an associated bill amount to the ATM. The ATM accepts and verifies a second passcode received from the third party customer. The ATM communicates with the third party computer system to verify the bill amount. Responsive to receiving the verification, the ATM communicates with the third party user to accept a payment. Upon successfully receiving the payment, and verifying the payment amount, the ATM sends a payment notification to the third party computer system.
