  • Patent number: 10634626
Abstract: An apparatus and method for inducing high-speed wobble motions to a sample of interest is provided. After the sample is securely attached to a sample mounting block, the sample is variably tilted by using a hexapod stage and simultaneously rotated at a high speed about a rotation axis that is substantially perpendicular to a planar top surface of the hexapod stage. The position of the sample is continuously adjusted during the wobble motion to align a surface center of the sample with a testing center of an X-ray diffractometer. The simultaneous variable tilting and high-speed rotation of the sample induces wobble motions to the sample for randomizing orientations of a sample material's crystallites relative to the source and detector of an X-ray diffractometer.

  • Patent number: 10592878
Abstract: Identification information is received from a transaction card at a transaction machine. The transaction card is associated with an account holder using the transaction machine and includes a transaction card type. Using the identification information, activity profile information is accessed for the account holder. The account holder's transaction machine usage is monitored and activity profile information related to the account holder's transaction machine usage is stored. A custom sequence of user interfaces to be displayed to the account holder is generated based on the transaction card type.

  • Publication number: 20200081725
Abstract: In a method for dynamically binding data in an application, an expression describing a relation between a first property of a first data of the application to a first property of a second data of the application is received. A binding is created between the first data and the second data based on the relation. A change is propagated to the first property of the second data based on a change to the first property of the first data. It is determined when to execute the expression in the application.

  • Publication number: 20200017251
Abstract: A machine for applying tubular film to products includes a film feed path along which a supply of continuous tubular film is fed, and a sleeve eject station at which the film tubing is cut into sleeves that are ejected onto products passing the sleeve eject station. At least one sensor is positioned along the film feed path upstream of the sleeve eject station for detecting a splice in tubular film traveling along the film feed path. A controller is configured for controlling the machine such that, upon detection of a splice in the tubular film, a defective sleeve that includes the splice thereon is ejected into a gap between successive products so as to prevent application of the defective sleeve to any product.

  • Patent number: 10533819
Abstract: A conduit (5) with a bullet passage (13, 17) extends forward from a gun muzzle (7). Inner and outer concentric chambers (25, 29) surround the conduit and a forward portion of the barrel (3). A gas path (P2, P3, P4) is provided through sides of the conduit into the inner chamber, thence to the outer chamber, and then exits to the atmosphere at the front of the outer chamber. Each chamber has longitudinal lines of sight between front and back sound reflectors (R1-R2, R3-R4), and no longitudinal line of sight from the back reflector (R2, R4) to the atmosphere. The gas path through the suppressor is at least 6 times less flow-restrictive than the gas path through the bullet exit (17) or back into the barrel bore (4), minimizing backpressure. The gas path (P3) between the inner and outer chambers is through apertures (33) limited to a lengthwise middle portion of an inner shell (21) that divides the chambers (25, 29).

  • Patent number: 10535047
Abstract: Methods and systems for completing financial operations via a contactless automated teller machine are disclosed. A financial institution computing system includes a network interface circuit exchanging information over a network, a customer database retrievably storing financial information relating to a plurality of customers, and a data exchange circuit. The data exchange circuit receives a financial operation request. The financial operation request is generated by an automated teller machine in response to a payment token received from a mobile wallet circuit on a mobile device. The data exchange circuit authorizes the financial operation request based on information in the customer database.

  • Publication number: 20200000606
Abstract: A spinal implant which is configured to be deployed between adjacent vertebral bodies. The implant has at least one fixation element with a retracted configuration to facilitate deployment of the implant and an extended configuration so as to engage a surface of an adjacent vertebral body and secure the implant between two vertebral bodies. Preferably, the implant is expandable and has a minimal dimension in its unexpanded state that is smaller than the dimensions of the neuroforamen through which it must pass to be deployed within the intervertebral space. Once within the space between vertebral bodies, the implant can be expanded so as to engage the endplates of the adjacent vertebrae to effectively distract the anterior disc space, stabilize the motion segments and eliminate pathologic spine motion. Angular deformities can be corrected, and natural curvatures restored and maintained.

  • Publication number: 20190373606
Abstract: Described herein are methods and apparatuses for the provision and management of value added services without a requirement for specific client software on a wireless receive/transmit unit (WRTU). The methods and apparatuses described may be applied to wireless networks supporting HTTP transfers without disrupting the wireless network configuration. In the embodiments described herein, a web request may be received by a Service Management Entity (SME) that may be located in an access point (AP) from a WRTU. The SME may transmit a proxy auto-configuration (PAC) file to the WRTU. This PAC file may include a uniform resource locator (URL) associated with a Service Delivery Entity (SDE), and the URL chosen may be based on rules associated with a location of the WRTU. The SDE may then receive a second web request from the WRTU and respond by transmitting a message to the WRTU such as a transaction trigger.
