Publication number: 20030065771Abstract: A method for creating a maintenance algorithm for a fleet of vehicles, with which maintenance information can be collected and displayed in each vehicle of the fleet. In the fleet vehicles, sensor data that are indicative of a stress on components in the vehicles are used to derive stress variables. The ascertained stress variables are stored in the vehicles for a predetermined period and, if a wear-related event occurs, wear variables that characterize a wear-related event are additionally ascertained. The stress variables and the wear variables are transmitted to a central location or station, in which the previous maintenance algorithm is checked with the use of the stress and wear variables, and, if applicable, an improved maintenance algorithm can be derived. The maintenance algorithm serves in establishing and indicating a time when the vehicle should be serviced.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2002Publication date: April 3, 2003Inventors: Regine Cramer, Ursula Felger, Rainer Kaufmann, Andrej Krauth, Jurgen Trost

Patent number: 6164858Abstract: A device or fluid regulator controls the supply of fluid to a consumer element from a fluid reservoir. A fluid supply line leads from the fluid reservoir to the consumer element. A valve is disposed in the fluid supply line. The valve element of the valve automatically opens the valve opening whenever downstream of the valve the consumer element has consumed a predetermined quantity of fluid. The valve is embodied as a capillary valve and downstream of the valve opening contains a capillary space that is connected to the fluid supply line, the capillary space being partially delimited by the valve element, which closes off the valve opening by the capillary force imparted by the fluid in the capillary space when the capillary space is filled with a predetermined amount of fluid.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 1999Date of Patent: December 26, 2000Assignee: Dataprint R.
