  • Patent number: 8907009
Abstract: A method is disclosed for producing polymers with a neutral color tone, wherein a blue and red dye are added before entry into the last polyreaction stage, wherein adjustment of a neutral color tone of the polymer, using a total dye concentration in the polymer of no more than 3 ppm and a proportion of the blue dye in the resulting dye mixture of at least 50% by weight, occurs through independent adjustment of a and b color values in the Lab color space by determination of a and b color values of the polymer without addition of dyes, establishment of the total dye concentration depending on the b-value shift to be achieved, establishment of the required mixture ratio of the colors red and blue depending on the a-value shift to be achieved, and metering of the established content of dye mixture into the reaction mixture.

  • Publication number: 20130206772
Abstract: The invention is a refill device for a cylindrical type of multi-dosing detergent delivery device wherein, said refill device comprises a plurality of detergent carrying chambers (210) sharing a common backing substrate (230). In prior refill devices, the device is provided to consumers in a fully rolled condition ready to be deployed into the detergent delivery device. However, in the present invention the refill is supplied in flat format with locking features which enable the end consumer to easily perform a rolling operation prior to use. The advantage to this arrangement comes in the lowering of manufacturing costs, packaging, storage and transportation costs that come with a less complicated product.

  • Publication number: 20110214834
Abstract: A production line for manufacturing metal strips made of copper or copper alloys by means of casting and rolling. In order to lower the investment cost and operating expenses therefore, the melt is cast into a copper strip in a vertical and/or horizontal continuous strip casting process, and the hot copper strip is cleaned by milling the top and bottom face thereof, is subjected to a cold rolling process, and is prepared for shipping, or is subjected to an inspection and then prepared for shipping after being annealed, pickled, washed, dried, and optionally temper rolled.

  • Publication number: 20110189061
Abstract: The invention is an improvement to a multi-dosing detergent delivery device, the device being of a type comprising a housing (2) for receiving therein, in use, a cartridge (200) having a plurality X of chambers (210) each accommodating a detergent composition, a directing means (3,34) to direct, in use, wash liquor selectively into a selected chamber (210) of the cartridge (200) to contact the detergent composition therein, an outlet to allow the detergent loaded wash liquor to exit the device and indexing means (100) for automatic movement of said cartridge (200) in use relative to said directing means (3,34). The specific improvement to the device comprises ensuring that the entry hole (220) of a selected chamber is out of alignment with a hole (34) forming part of the directing means at the start of a heating cycle of a wash, so as to avoid or reduce a problem of detergent held within the chamber (210) from being washed out or diluted during a pre-wash cycle of a dishwasher.

  • Publication number: 20090134756
Abstract: A safety cabinet has a plurality of walls defining a front open side and a pair of doors pivotal about respective horizontally spaced axes on the walls between a closed and an open position. Guides in the cabinet are each associated with a respective one of the doors, and respective links each have a front end connected to a respective one of the doors and a rear end shiftable front-to-back in a respective one of the guides. A connector extends between the rear ends of the links and shifts front-to-back with them. A closer is operatively engageable with the connector, and a spring applies bears on the closer to urge it against the connector for pushing same into the rear end position and closing the doors. An actuator normally holds the closer out of engagement with the connector during movement of same between the front and rear end positions.

  • Publication number: 20090114523
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for treating vapours and condensates which arise during the production of polycondensates from bisphenols or high-value phenols by esterification and/or transesterification with alkyl or aryl esters of at least bivalent organic or inorganic acids. According to the invention, the treatment is carried out in a plurality of condensates and/or distillation columns which are connected in a step-by-step manner behind each other, each distillation column comprising a connected condensate. The dew point and the pressure in each condensate are adjusted such that in each step, monomers, oligomers or decomposition and transformation products are removed.
