  • Publication number: 20180348329
Abstract: What is disclosed is a device for determining a piece of information on a position of a transmitter, having an antenna device and a data processing device. The antenna device receives signals emanating from the transmitter and has a distinguished directional characteristic which relates to a set of spatially different receive sensitivities of the antenna device. The distinguished directional characteristic has a sensitivity minimum associated to a spatial detection region. The data processing device evaluates the signals received from the antenna device with the distinguished directional characteristic, as regards the position of the transmitter relative to the detection region. • Publication number: 20180348327
Abstract: What is disclosed is a device for determining a piece of information on a position of a transmitter, comprising an antenna device, a signal processing device and a data processing device. Thus, the antenna device comprises several different directional characteristics, the directional characteristics each relating to at least a set of spatially different receive sensitivities of the antenna device. The antenna device receives signals from the transmitter with different directional characteristics, the signal processing device processing the signals received and establishing a respective amplitude value of a field strength. The data processing device establishes the information on the position of the transmitter based on the directional characteristics and the amplitude values having been established for the associated signals received. Additionally, a corresponding method is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20180341001
Abstract: An apparatus for determining information on a position of a transmitter. In one example, the apparatus includes an antenna apparatus, a control apparatus and a data processing apparatus. The antenna apparatus includes several different directional characteristics, wherein the directional characteristics are each related to an amount of spatially different receive sensitivities of the antenna apparatus. The control apparatus influences the antenna apparatus such that at least one of the directional characteristics of the antenna apparatus is activated. With the activated directional characteristic, the antenna apparatus receives a signal originating from the transmitter. The data processing apparatus processes the received signal and the amount of spatially different receive sensitivities allocated to the related activated directional characteristic to an amount of weighted receive values and determines the information on the position of the transmitter therefrom.

  • Patent number: 7646356
Abstract: An antenna comprises a first antenna element, which has a first helix, and a second antenna element, which has a second helix. The first and the second antenna elements each have a feed point at an outer end of the corresponding helix and an open end at an inner end of the corresponding helix. A symmetrical helix antenna according to the invention can be integrated in a comparatively simple manner in an existing system, for example in a hearing aid. By integrating the antenna in a plastic housing, the antenna cannot be seen at all from the outside. The antenna is comparatively small in relation to conventional antennas.
