  • Patent number: 7289065
Abstract: An antenna comprises a first planar antenna and a second planar antenna. A coupler for coupling serves for coupling the first planar antenna to a first component of a differential signal and for coupling the second planar antenna to a second component of the differential signal.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 14, 2005
Date of Patent: October 30, 2007
Assignee: Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Foerderung der angewandten Forschung e.V.
    Inventors: Carlos Prieto-Burgos, Rainer Wansch
  • Patent number: 7218282
Abstract: An antenna device includes a first radiation electrode having an open end and a short-circuited end connected to ground and being coupled to a feed line at a feeding point. Furthermore, the antenna device has a second radiation electrode having an open end and a short-circuited end connected to ground, wherein a portion of the second radiation electrode is part of an electric circuit. The first radiation electrode, the feed line and the electric circuit are arranged such that an alternating current through the feed line to the short-circuited end of the first radiation electrode, for feeding the second radiation electrode, induces an alternating current into the electric circuit via magnetic coupling.

Date of Patent: May 15, 2007
Assignee: Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Foerderung der angewandten Forschung e.V.
    Inventors: Harald Humpfer, Rainer Wansch

  • Patent number: 7043999
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for measuring mechanical stresses of a rotating part (1) in an essentially closed metal housing. The rotating part comprises a sensor (2) which reflects electromagnetic waves and which can be measurably deformed as a result of a mechanical stress exerted on said rotating part (1) The two antennas (A1, A2) receiving the reflected signals of the sensor (2) are arranged in the bearing housing (10) in such a way that they cannot rotate in relation to the sensor and are distanced (?). Said antennas emit receiving signals (a1,a2) which are sent to an electronic evaluation system (20,21) which measures the mechanical stresses of the rotating part (1) on the basis of both receiving signals (a1,a2).
