    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for facilitating network transactions based on user authentication. One example computer-implemented method includes receiving a request to authenticate a user in connection with a network interaction and identifying a device identifier (ID) specific to a card for an account indicated in the request. The method also includes transmitting, to the card based on the device ID, a challenge command for authentication of the user, whereby the card instructs the user to biometrically authenticate at the card via an on-card indicator, and receiving, from the card, a challenge question advisement including an authentication result of the user. The method then also includes, based on the authentication result of the user, responding to the request to authenticate, to a merchant plug-in (MPI) computing device, with an authentication code indicative of the authentication result.

    Abstract: A machine-learning model may be previously trained with a supervised learning algorithm to identify whether a pair of labels provided as input are similar. A locality sensitive hashing forest (LSH) may be generated for the set of candidate labels. When a user later identifies an input label (e.g., by search query, by interface selection, etc.) the input label may be used to query the LSH forest to identify a subset of the candidate labels. This subset may be used to generate respective pairs comprising the input label, one of the subset candidate labels, and a corresponding feature set generated for the pair. This data may be provided to the model to identify a degree to which the pair of labels are similar. The user may be provided one or more recommendations including similar terms identified from the model's output.

One exemplary method includes, for a network transaction, receiving, at a card device, an authentication command from an issuer of a payment account associated with the card device. Biometric data from the user is captured at biometric sensor of the card device, when the user provides the biometric, and the captured biometric data is compared with reference biometric data stored in a memory of the card device. The card device then returns a command reply to the issuer, where the command reply includes an authentication result based on the comparison, thereby permitting the issuer to employ the authentication result of the user in connection with the network transaction.

Included in the circuit element is an AC bypass capacitor Cbp and a sensor. In detail, the sensor may be either a current sensor or a voltage sensor. In either case, the sensor establishes a cancellation current for removing the DC portion Ipd(DC) from the photocurrent while the AC bypass capacitor Cbp shunts an AC portion Ipd(AC) to ground. The result is that only an AC portion Ipd(AC) of the optical signal is maintained for input into the TIA.
