  • Patent number: 7471341
Abstract: A ghost image cancellation technique for video signals received from multipaths during transmission of a TV signal over a transmission channel. In one example embodiment, an apparatus computes edge parameters of synchronization signals received from each of the multipath video signals. The edge parameters are then used to select an input video signal. The selected input video signal along with the computed edge parameters are then used to remove remaining video signals from the video signals received from the multipaths to cancel ghost images.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 18, 2004
Date of Patent: December 30, 2008
    Assignee: Analog Devices, Inc.
Inventors: Rajesh Bhaskar, Sudheesh A Somanathan
  • Patent number: 7317489
Abstract: A technique to provide a cost effective solution to detect teletext data that can reduce detected error in teletext when the transmission data rate is known. In one example embodiment, this is accomplished by detecting data bits in an unsynchronized digital data stream by finding start of each data bit based on an estimated data bit width and transitions in the unsynchronized digital data stream.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: January 8, 2008
    Assignee: Analog Devices, Inc

  • Publication number: 20040009030
Abstract: Arrangement (1) for making textured film solid cleanser holders (160). A solid cleanser feed conveyor (2) is horizontally rotatably mounted on a first frame work (3) and provided with a plurality of spaced solid cleanser holding pockets. A film feeding unit comprising one pair of film unwind top roll (5) and a film unwind bottom roll (6) are rotatably mounted on a stand (7) at the feed end (8) of the feed conveyor. A solid cleanser holder forming unit (31) is mounted on a second framework (35) located close to the discharge end of the feed conveyor (36). A solid cleanser holder sealing unit (41), a solid cleanser holder cutting unit (59), a film scoring unit (84) and a horizontally rotatable waste film carrying conveyor (98) are mounted on the second frame work in tandem with the solid cleanser holder forming unit.

Abstract: Arrangement (1) for making textured multi film solid cleanser holders (160). A solid cleanser feed conveyor (2) is horizontally rotatably mounted on a first frame work (3) and provided woth a plurality of spaced solid cleanser holding pockets. A film feeding unit comprising one pair of film unwind top rolls (5,5) and one pair of film unwind bottom rolls (6,6) are rotatably mounted on a stand (7) at the feed end (8) of the feed conveyor. A pair of film lamination units (11a, 11b) each is mounted at the top and bottom of the first framework. A solid cleanser holder forming unit (31) is mounted on a second framework (35) located close to the discharge end of the feed conveyor (36). A solid cleanser holder sealing unit (41), a solid cleanser holder cutting unit (59), a film scoring unit (84) and a horizontally rotatable waste film carrying conveyor (98) are mounted o the second frame work in tandem with the solid cleanser holder forming unit.
