  • Publication number: 20160188689
Abstract: A method for copying first data stored at a primary data center to a secondary data center is provided. The method includes initiating a first replication task to copy the first data from the primary data center to the secondary data center. The method also includes receiving a first portion of the first data from the primary data center via a first access point, wherein a first bandwidth between the primary data center and the first access point is greater than a second bandwidth between the primary data center and the secondary data center. The method further includes storing the first portion of data in a first cache associated with the first access point. The method also includes transmitting the first portion of data from the first cache to the secondary data center. A system and non-transitory computer-readable medium are also provided.

  • Patent number: 9276936
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a tethering enforcement device controller and methods thereof. The tethering enforcement device controller (TEDC) is installed on a primary device, or otherwise known as the tethered device. The TEDC is configured to detect, control and block unauthorized or inappropriate tethering with a secondary device, or otherwise known as the tethering device, via either a native or a third-party tethering application, by retrieving a configuration file from a server associated with a wireless carrier. The configuration file typically includes customer profile and currently blacklisted package names of third-party tethering applications. The customer profile typically includes subscription information, including use of tethering services. If the customer is trying to tether and tethering is not allowed, then the TEDC will prevent the secondary device from tethering with the primary device.

  • Publication number: 20130013659
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to techniques for efficient streaming SVD computation. In an embodiment, streaming SVD can be applied for streamed data and/or for streamed processing of data. In another embodiment, the streamed data can include time series data, data in motion, and data at rest, wherein the data at rest can include data from a database or a file and read in an ordered manner. More particularly, the disclosure is directed to an efficient and faster method of computation of streaming SVD for data sets such that errors including reconstruction error and loss of orthogonality are error bounded. The method avoids SVD re-computation of already computed data sets and ensures updates to the SVD model by incorporating only the changes introduced by the new entrant data sets.

  • Publication number: 20120304539
Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a process of reforming a natural gas stream by steam. The reforming is carried out at a temperature within a predetermined range to form a substantially carbon monoxide free product mixture of hydrogen and natural gas. The reforming is carried out in presence of a nickel-based catalyst. The temperature is controlled in a range of about 350° C. to about 390° C. The reforming can be started or stopped or its rate can be varied, based on an outflow demand of the product mixture of hydrogen and natural gas.
