  • Patent number: 12141114
Abstract: A computer-implemented method accelerates cognitive intelligence queries to a database using semantic keys. A computing device receives a database. The computing device inserts one or more key-value pairs into the database, where the key is a semantic key that is generated from a binary codeword built from a locality sensitive hashing of one or more vectors in a database embedding model of the database, and where the value is a tuple in the database that identifies entries in the database that share predefined features. The computing device uses the one or more key-value pairs for accelerating cognitive intelligence queries to the database.

  • Patent number: 12139753
Abstract: A method for detecting a gene fusion includes amplifying a nucleic acid sample in the presence of primer pool to produce a plurality of amplicons. The primer pool includes primers targeting a plurality of exon-exon junctions of a driver gene. The amplicons correspond to the exon-exon junctions. The amplicons are sequenced and aligned to a reference sequence. The number of reads corresponding to each amplicon is normalized to give a normalized read count. A baseline correction is applied to the normalized read counts for the amplicons to form corrected read counts. A binary segmentation score is calculated for each corrected read count. A predicted breakpoint for the gene fusion is determined based on the amplicon index corresponding to the maximum absolute binary segmentation score. Gene fusion events may be detected in a partner agnostic manner, i.e. without prior knowledge of the specific fusion partner genes or specific breakpoint information.

  • Publication number: 20240372491
Abstract: A DC electric motor having a stator mounted to a substrate, the stator having a coil assembly having a magnetic core, a rotor mounted to the stator with permanent magnets distributed radially about the rotor, the permanent magnets extending beyond the magnetic core, and sensors mounted to the substrate adjacent the permanent magnets. During operation of the motor passage of the permanent magnets over the sensors produces a substantially sinusoidal signal of varying voltage substantially without noise and/or saturation, allowing an angular position of the rotor to be determined from the sinusoidal signals by utilizing a transformation matrix or piece-wise algorithm applied in substantially linear portions of the sinusoidal signals without requiring use of additional hardware encoder or position sensors and without requiring noise-reduction or filtering of the signal.

  • Patent number: 12136605
Abstract: Layer structures for making direct metal-to-metal bonds at low temperatures and shorter annealing durations in microelectronics are provided. Example bonding interface structures enable direct metal-to-metal bonding of interconnects at low annealing temperatures of 150° C. or below, and at a lower energy budget. The example structures provide a precise metal recess distance for conductive pads and vias being bonded that can be achieved in high volume manufacturing. The example structures provide a vertical stack of conductive layers under the bonding interface, with geometries and thermal expansion features designed to vertically expand the stack at lower temperatures over the precise recess distance to make the direct metal-to-metal bonds. Further enhancements, such as surface nanotexture and copper crystal plane selection, can further actuate the direct metal-to-metal bonding at lowered annealing temperatures and shorter annealing durations.

  • Publication number: 20240361938
Abstract: Techniques are provided for splitting a clone volume from a parent volume whose data is stored within objects of an object store. A transfer map is used to track mappings of selectively created child object identifiers used to subsequently copy the one or more parent objects to create child objects corresponding to the child object identifiers. A consistency point phase is performed. For each child object identifier processed during the consistency point phase, an object state for a corresponding child object is set to a copy pending state. A reverse map is populated with a reverse map entry. The transfer map is traversed to copy the one or more parent objects as the child objects for splitting the clone volume from the parent volume. The reverse map is used to verify that the child objects are successfully created with valid data.

  • Publication number: 20240362939
Abstract: A method and system of extracting one or more non-semantic entities in a document image including data entities is disclosed. The methodology includes extraction, by a processor, of row entities and corresponding row location based on a text extraction technique from the document image. The row entities are split into split-row entities based on a splitting rule. Semantic entities are determined from alphabetic entities using semantic recognition technique. The non-semantic entities are determined as split-row entities other than semantic entities. Feature values of each feature type for each of the non-semantic entities is determined. The processor further determines a first probability output for non-semantic entities and a second probability output for semantic entities surrounding the non-semantic entities. The system further labels each of the non-semantic entities based on determination of a highest probability value from a sum of the first probability output and the second probability output.
