  • Publication number: 20240129264
Abstract: Techniques for managing digital messages to and from a proxy message address are disclosed. A system receives a message directed to a particular destination address. The system replaces any source address included in the message with a proxy address. When the system receives a reply to the message, the reply is directed to the proxy address. The system analyzes message data to identify a target address for the reply message. The system identifies contextual data associated with the reply message. The system transmits the reply message, and the contextual data, to the target address.

  • Patent number: 11962842
Abstract: Customers at a premises attempting to connect a new wireless device, such as a mobile phone or tablet to an available wireless network (Wi-Fi), receive network login information such as an Wi-Fi SSID (service set identification) and Password through a system generated equivalent QR code that can then be scanned to automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network. The system receives a request for Wi-Fi settings at a premises, identifies customer equipment associated with the premises, identifies an Wi-Fi SSID (Service Set Identification) and password associated with the customer equipment, generates a QR (Quick Response) code representing the Wi-Fi SSID and password, sends the QR code to one or more devices associated with the premises for display and subsequent scanning at the premises.

  • Patent number: 11962516
Abstract: Techniques to eliminate duplicate packets from a stream of packets. A method includes receiving a packet, hashing elements of the packet to obtain a packet partial signature, generating an action data value by appending, to the packet partial signature, unhashed packet information, accessing a hash store location in a hash store based on the action data value, determining, based on data stored at the hash store location, whether the packet is a duplicate of a previously-received packet, and based on whether the packet is a duplicate of a previously-received packet, one of allowing and preventing one of the packet and a copy of the packet to reach a downstream network node.

  • Patent number: 11960357
Abstract: Techniques for migrating virtual machines (VMs) in the presence of uncorrectable memory errors are provided. According to one set of embodiments, a source host hypervisor of a source host system can determine, for each guest memory page of a VM to be migrated from the source host system to a destination host system, whether the guest memory page is impacted by an uncorrectable memory error in a byte-addressable memory of the source host system. If the source host hypervisor determines that the guest memory page is impacted, the source host hypervisor can transmit a data packet to a destination host hypervisor of the destination host system that includes error metadata identifying the guest memory page as being corrupted. Alternatively, if the source host hypervisor determines that the guest memory page is not impacted, the source host hypervisor can attempt to read the guest memory page from the byte-addressable memory in a memory exception-safe manner.

  • Patent number: 11959557
Abstract: An evacuation unit is configured to remove entrapped fluid from a flow control. These configurations may incorporate devices that can passively discharge fluid in response to loss of system pressure. These devices may use gravity or spring-assist as mechanisms to move fluid out of spaces in the device. This feature mitigates risks that the entrapped fluid freezes and expands, which can cause damage to metal components and lead to extensive downtime of process lines. As an added benefit, the features can reduce product costs or complexity because the proposed designs avoid the need for additional, peripheral “accessories,” like pumps or heating elements, resident at the location of the flow control.

  • Publication number: 20240119343
Abstract: Prioritizing a work request pertaining to a physical asset can include generating a data structure that encodes the work request as a multidimensional representation indicating at least one classification, each at least one classification including at least one sub-category. In response to identifying multiple work requests encoded as multidimensional representations with respect to the physical asset, each multidimensional representation can be reduced to a one-dimensional (1-D) representation that preserves a variance factor of each sub-category of each multidimensional representation. Each 1-D structure can be input to a machine learning model trained to prioritize each of the work requests. The work requests can be prioritized in accordance with the machine learning model based on the 1-D structures. The priorities of each of the work requests can be output.

  • Publication number: 20240118980
Abstract: A data storage management system comprises features for initiating failover orchestration jobs that invoke recovery resources on demand in a cloud computing environment. Backed up data that is stored persistently in the cloud computing environment may be rapidly restored within the cloud computing environment for use in disaster recovery and/or in test and verification scenarios. This approach may be contrasted to systems where a failover system is “always on” at the failover destination, such as having failover resources always up and running in the cloud computing environment. Such resources typically include a failover virtual machine (VM), a virtual machine datastore for the restored data, and one or more computing resources for restoring an auxiliary copy to the VM's datastore. The cloud-based failover resources are deactivated or taken down once the failover event ends.
