  • Publication number: 20240089840
Abstract: Embodiments herein provide apparatuses and techniques for providing a notification indicating guidance to reaching cellular connectivity in the event of a loss of cellular connectivity and for guiding a user of a user equipment to a location with cellular connectivity. The notification may be generated based on expiration of a timer, a screen unlock operation, or an application connection failure. The notification may indicate how long ago the cellular connectivity loss occurred and how far away a nearest location is with a cellular connectivity was. The user equipment may display a map interface based on user input selecting the notification. The map interface may show a map of the current location of the user equipment, a nearest location with cellular connectivity to the user equipment, and a path, which includes a tracked path of user equipment and a proposed path to the nearest location with cellular connectivity.

  • Patent number: 11928046
Abstract: An analysis system receives data streams generated by instances of instrumented software executing on external systems. The analysis system evaluates an expression using data values of the data streams over a plurality of time intervals. For example, the analysis system may aggregate data values of data streams for each time interval. The analysis system determines whether or not a data stream is considered for a time interval based on when the data value arrives during the time interval. The analysis system determines a maximum expected delay value for each data stream being processed. The analysis system evaluates the expression using data values that arrive before their maximum expected delay values. The analysis system also determines a failure threshold value for a data stream. If a data value of a data stream fails to arrive before the failure threshold value, the analysis system marks the data stream as dead.

  • Patent number: 11928510
Abstract: In one set of embodiments, a hypervisor of a host system can determine that a delta between local and remote memory access latencies for each of a subset of NUMA nodes of the host system is less than a threshold. In response, the hypervisor can enable page sharing across the subset of NUMA nodes, where enabling page sharing comprises associating the subset of NUMA nodes with a single page sharing table, and where the single page sharing table holds entries identifying host physical memory pages of the host system that are shared by virtual machines (VMs) placed on the subset of NUMA nodes.

  • Patent number: 11929927
Abstract: A network interface controller can be programmed to direct write received data to a memory buffer via either a host-to-device fabric or an accelerator fabric. For packets received that are to be written to a memory buffer associated with an accelerator device, the network interface controller can determine an address translation of a destination memory address of the received packet and determine whether to use a secondary head. If a translated address is available and a secondary head is to be used, a direct memory access (DMA) engine is used to copy a portion of the received packet via the accelerator fabric to a destination memory buffer associated with the address translation. Accordingly, copying a portion of the received packet through the host-to-device fabric and to a destination memory can be avoided and utilization of the host-to-device fabric can be reduced for accelerator bound traffic.

  • Patent number: 11928984
Abstract: Techniques described herein provide intelligent context-based testing. One or more implementations receive an image that includes content. In turn, some implementations process the image to extract test information from the content, such as questions, answers, learning material, and so forth. By analyzing the test information, various implementations determine one or more characteristics associated with the test information, and dynamically generate new test information based on the determined one or more characteristics. As one example, some implementations obtain new content by searching for content that includes the one or more characteristics and generate new test information based on the new content and the extracted test information.

  • Publication number: 20240078623
Abstract: An approach for assessing terms and conditions (TnC)s of a legal agreement is provided. A block of text, which contains a TnC of the set of TnC, in the legal agreement is identified using a cognitive system. A standardized significance value is assigned to the TnC by the cognitive system by applying the TnC to a TnC model containing corresponding industry TnCs from industry standard documents. A block currency that indicates a significance of an impact of the TnC to a contract party is computed for the TnC by the cognitive system. Based on the standardized significance value and the block currency, a personal impact of the TnC to the contract party is assessed by the cognitive system. The contract party is alerted to the TnC and the personal impact corresponding to the TnC.

  • Patent number: 11924083
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for enabling interoperability between asymmetric and symmetric Integrated Routing and Bridging (IRB) modes. An interfacing component may be configured to receive a first route advertisement from a first edge node in a Layer-2 (L2) fabric. The first route advertisement may correspond to an asymmetric format route, for instance. The interfacing component may be further configured to receive a second route advertisement from a second edge node in a L2/Layer-3 (L3) fabric. The second edge node may be configured for symmetric integrated routing and bridging (IRB). The interfacing component may be configured to re-originate the first route and the second route such that the interfacing component is included as a hop in the resultant routes between the L2 fabric and the L2/L3 fabric.

  • Patent number: 11921671
Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine-readable media for creating, deleting, and restoring volume snapshots in a remote data store are disclosed. A storage volume and a storage operating system are implemented in a software container. Through a user interface, a user may create a snapshot of the volume to a cloud storage. A user may also delete individual snapshots from the cloud storage. Further, deletion of a most recent snapshot may occur by awaiting deletion (though marking as deleted to the user) until a next snapshot is received. Snapshots in the cloud storage are manipulatable even after destruction of the source volume (by destruction of the container, for example). A controller outside the container is used by implementing the same API as the controller in the container had. Full restores of snapshots in the cloud are also possible even when the original container and volume have been destroyed.
