Abstract: Socio-technical system (STS) service design is an approach to design that consider human, social and organizational factors, as well as technical factors. Due to the nature of STS, any human effort will have challenges in terms of time and resource constraints in such a scenario. A method and system for designing the STS service at scale has been provided. The present disclosure is configured to bring efficiency in terms of time taken and efficacy in terms of dimensions covered. The system uses machine learning methods and natural language processing to aid the rapid process transformation of design thinking for STS. The system is using machine intervention for dimensionality reduction, helps in giving a weighted approach towards goal achievement irrespective of human biases. The prototype is expressed in a commonly understandable human language helping in prototype evaluation—visualizing the prototype even before it is built.

  • Publication number: 20230360968
Abstract: Representative implementations of techniques and devices are used to reduce or prevent conductive material diffusion into insulating or dielectric material of bonded substrates. Misaligned conductive structures can come into direct contact with a dielectric portion of the substrates due to overlap, especially while employing direct bonding techniques. A barrier interface that can inhibit the diffusion is disposed generally between the conductive material and the dielectric at the overlap.

  • Publication number: 20230359731
Abstract: Techniques for generating an identifier index table (IIT) and for executing queries are disclosed. The IIT maps different labels used among different data sources to a commonly defined data type. The IIT is used to generate a set of queries that are executable based on selection of the commonly defined data type and that are executable against the different data sources to search for an indicator of compromise (IOC) within the different data sources. The results from the queries are analyzed in an attempt to identify the IOC.

  • Patent number: 11811674
Abstract: Techniques are provided for lock reservations for shared storage. A reserve command to reserve a storage structure is received by a driver from a node. The reserve command is formatted according to a storage protocol. The driver translates the reserve command into a lease acquire command formatted according to an object store protocol and targeting an object stored within an object store and corresponding to the storage structure. A lease identifier derived from a node identifier of the node is inserted into the lease acquire command. The lease acquire command is routed to the object store for obtaining a lease on the object for granting the node exclusive write access to the object.

  • Patent number: 11811720
Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein provide a method for efficiently propagating address resolution reply messages. A first router in a first network receives an address resolution request message from a second router in a second network. The first router generates an entry for the address resolution request message and stores the entry in a pending address resolution requests table. When the first router receives a route advertisement, it extracts a network layer address from the route advertisement and determines whether the pending address resolution requests table includes an entry for the network layer address. If so, the router extracts a link layer address from the route advertisement and generates an address resolution reply message comprising the network layer address and the link layer address. The router then transmits the address resolution reply message to the second router.

  • Patent number: 11811305
Abstract: A load control device may be configured to turn on lighting loads to obtain a fast turn-on time that may be substantially consistent across lighting loads that have different load voltages. The load control device may comprise a power converter circuit configured to produce a voltage across a capacitor, and a control circuit configured to control the power converter circuit to generate the voltage across the capacitor. The control circuit may determine a learned voltage from the magnitude of the voltage across the capacitor. For example, the control circuit may measure the magnitude of the voltage and store the measured voltage as the learned voltage. The control circuit may determine an operating parameter for the power converter circuit as a function of the learned voltage, and control the power converter circuit according to the operating parameter to charge the capacitor until the magnitude of the voltage exceeds a threshold.

  • Patent number: 11811656
Abstract: A method for direct communication between a source endpoint executing in a first datacenter and a destination endpoint executing in a second datacenter. The method receives, at a gateway of the second datacenter, a packet sent by the source endpoint, the packet having a header that includes a source IP address corresponding to a public IP address of the first datacenter, a destination IP address corresponding to a public IP address of the second datacenter, and source and destination port numbers. The method performs a DNAT process on the packet to replace at least the destination IP address in the header with a private IP address of the destination endpoint. The DNAT process identifies the private IP address by mapping the source and destination port numbers to the private IP address of the destination endpoint. The method then transmits the packet to the destination endpoint in the second datacenter.
