    Abstract: A solenoid valve is for controlling an injection valve of an internal combustion engine, including a housing part, an electromagnet having a magnetic coil and a magnetic core, an armature acted upon by a valve spring and axially movable between the electromagnet and a valve seat, and a control valve member moved by the armature and cooperating with the valve seat for opening and closing a fuel passage, in which the armature is situated in the housing part movable in the radial direction free from mechanical guiding means. A further development provides that, when a current is applied to the electromagnet,the armature may be aligned in the radial direction, by magnetic reluctance forces then acting upon the armature, into a centrical position with reference to the centerline of the electromagnet.

    Abstract: A fuel injection valve with a valve body (1) and a bore (3), embodied as a blind bore, whose bottom face is oriented toward the combustion chamber. A conical valve seat (9), in which at least one injection port (11) is disposed, is embodied on the bottom face. In the bore (3), a pistonlike valve member (5), which is longitudinally displaceable counter to a closing force, is disposed and has a valve member tip (7), which in the closing position of the valve member (5) comes to rest on the valve seat (9). A first conical face (30) and a second conical face (32), disposed toward the combustion chamber toward the first conical face, are embodied on the valve member tip (7), and the cone angle (&agr;) of the first conical face (30) is smaller than the cone angle (&ggr;) of the valve seat (9), which in turn is smaller than the cone angle (&bgr;) of the second conical face (32).

    Abstract: A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, having a valve member guided axially displaceably, counter to a closing force, in a blind bore of a valve body. The valve member on an end toward the combustion chamber has a conical valve sealing face, with which the valve sealing face cooperates with a conical valve seat face on the inward-projecting closed end of the blind bore. A blind bore region, adjoins the conical valve seat face downstream, from which region injection openings lead into the combustion chamber of the engine. The blind bore wall region that receives the injection openings is embodied conically, and the injection openings have a certain minimum spacing from an upper and a lower end of this conical blind bore wall region.

    Abstract: A fuel injection device for internal combustion engines, having a high-pressure fuel pump, which pumps fuel from a low-pressure chamber via a feed line into a high-pressure collection chamber that communicates via high-pressure lines with the individual injection valves that protrude into the combustion chamber of the engine to be supplied. In order for this system to make variable injection cross sections at the injection valves possible, these injection valves are embodied as injection valves with an outward-opening valve member, via whose controllable opening stroke motion in the direction of the combustion chamber, a variable injection cross section can be adjusted at the injection valve.
