  • Patent number: 9541989
Abstract: A power conversion system includes a power transfer estimator that is operable to provide a determination of the cumulative amount of power transferred through the power supply, without additional sensing elements and at extremely low power levels, and to provide such determinations periodically over potentially long periods of time commensurate with the lifetime of a limited power source such as a battery. In a power conversion system operating in a discontinuous conduction mode (DCM), the power transfer estimator determines the charge transferred during each switching cycle, and the total number of switching cycles, to calculate the cumulative amount of power transferred. The power transfer estimator is optionally operable to calculate a value for the inductance to be used in the determination of the cumulative amount of power transferred through the power supply.

  • Patent number: 9409321
Abstract: A shaped body and a method for producing fiber composite components, wherein the shaped body is formed using a paper and/or cardboard material, at least in part. This makes possible cost-effective manufacture of hollow profiles of any desired length from fiber composite materials, in particular from prepreg materials and/or reinforcing fiber arrangements which are subsequently impregnated with a curable plastics material. The paper and/or cardboard material can be provided with further properties, such as gas-tightness and non-stick properties, by applying suitable functional layers. Moreover, the material makes it possible to produce highly dimensionally stable shaped bodies or support cores, in such a way that fiber composite components having highly reproducible spatial dimensions can be produced. In addition, after curing, the shaped bodies can be collapsed in a simple manner by applying a vacuum and thus removed from the fiber composite component without residues.

  • Publication number: 20160075479
Abstract: A transport container having a receptacle for holding an electronic, wireless identification device in the form of a smart card. The transport container has a double-walled wall section formed by an inner wall and an outer all. The receptacle is defined by guides and ribs and an insertion slot is provided in the outer wall via which the card is inserted into the receptacle. The insertion slot is offset to the receptacle, so that the smart card or elements of the receptacle must be elastically deformable to insert the card into the receptacle. The ribs and guides ensure that the card is reliably held in the receptacle. The ribs also ensure that the card is held at least 1.5 mm away from the inner and outer walls, thereby preventing buildup of a moisture film on the smart card, to avoid impairment of the ability to read the card.
