  • Patent number: 11958153
Abstract: In a method for operating a machine tool, a machine-specific flow resistance and a respective tool-specific flow resistance are ascertained for various tools. Tool-specific regulator parameters for regulating a pump of a coolant lubricant device are computed on the basis of the machine-specific flow resistance and the tool-specific flow resistance of the tool chucked in a tool spindle. Subsequently, the machine tool is operated using the tool-specific regulator parameters. In this way, a rapid and exact feed of coolant lubricant to the machining point of the respective chucked tool is enabled in a simple and flexible manner.

  • Patent number: 9919395
Abstract: A method is proposed for controlling tool change operations on a machine tool, wherein a machining procedure on a workpiece includes a sequence of machining operations having in each case a particular tool and in each case a particular duration, and for a tool change, tools of a tool spindle are provided by a second storage device in communication with a first storage device, and wherein there is associated with the machining procedure a sequence of tool provision operations in which a tool provision operation has in each case a particular duration, wherein the method includes a determination stage wherein the durations of the machining operations and the tool provision operations are determined, and a control stage wherein the tool provision operations are temporally grouped in relation to the machining operations such that the tool provision operations bring about a minimized idle time in the machining procedure.

  • Publication number: 20160108326
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for improving the cold flow properties of diesel are described. The methods include hydrocracking a hydrocarbon feed to provide a reactor effluent comprising a product mixture comprising diesel, kerosene, and naphtha, and unconverted feed. The reactor effluent is separated in an enhanced hot separator into an overhead vapor stream comprising the product mixture and a liquid bottoms stream comprising the unconverted feed. The overhead vapor stream is contacted with a dewaxing catalyst in a finishing reaction zone to convert a portion of n-paraffins in the product mixture to iso-paraffins. The effluent from the finishing reaction zone is separated in a high pressure separator into an overhead stream comprising gases and a liquid stream comprising the product mixture. The liquid stream from the high pressure separator is separated into at least a diesel stream in a fractionation zone.

  • Publication number: 20040237967
Abstract: An improved breathing devise, for use in the nasal passageways. This nasal breathing apparatus utilizes a flexible tube, that defines two centrally adjacent notches, spaced apart by a central tube portion. The terminating ends of the tube preferably have a portion of the circumferential tube removed, so that the ends define curved flanges. The section of modified tubing is bent approximately 90 degrees from the central portion, with the arcual outer surfaces of the tube ends being placed directly into the nasal passageways. The flexible tube will urge the nasal passageway walls apart, thereby increasing the overall diameter of said passageways. Airflow is not significantly restricted, due to the tubular configuration of the apparatus, which conforms to the nasal passageway shape it contacts. The central tube portion is capable of receiving an aromatic plug, which releases chemical substances adjacent to the nasal openings.

  • Publication number: 20030136104
Abstract: The rotary engine is an expansion fluid turbine for supplying power to lawn mowers, small vehicles, electrical generators, and the like. Fuel and oxygen are supplied from bladder tanks to combustion chamber, while water is supplied to an annular sleeve surrounding the combustion chamber in a mist by a spray nozzle. Ignition of the fuel-oxygen mixture by a glow plug heats the mist to supply steam for turning a rotor. The rotor has a circular top plate with a plurality of pin diffusers depending from its lower surface, and an annular bottom plate with a plurality of pin diffusers attached to its upper surface. A swirl pan has a flange on which the lower plate seats, and defines a swirl chamber. The steam enters the swirl chamber through a bifurcated intake conduit. Swirling in one direction causes rotation, while swirling in the opposite direction causes braking.
