  • Patent number: 10204072
Abstract: In a method for allocating addresses in a CAN network having at least one master bus user and at least one slave bus user, the master bus user initiates the address allocation via a query message that is arranged for all bus users. Slave bus users which have already been assigned an address respond to this query message by transmitting a message at their assigned address. Slave bus users which have not yet been assigned an address take measures in response to this query message to be able to transmit on the bus without collisions, and transmit their serial number to the master bus user using these measures. At least the slave bus users which have not yet been assigned an address are assigned a suitable address by the master after receipt of the serial number, and use this address for further communication on the bus.

  • Publication number: 20180222740
Abstract: A wine dispenser is disclosed that protects unpoured wine from oxidation due to exposure to air within the dispenser. The dispenser includes a dispenser body having a piston disposed within, the piston being of a weight so as to move toward the dispensing end of the dispenser body when the dispenser is tilted downward, causing wine to be dispensed via a dispensing assembly. The dispensing assembly includes a lid having a wine flow channel that provides a path for wine to flow out of the dispenser body, and a unidirectional flow valve that is biased in a closed air-tight state to prevent air from entering the dispenser body via the wine flow channel, unless the unidirectional flow valve is forced into an open state, thereby allowing wine to flow out from the dispenser body via the wine flow channel, and then out of the dispenser via a pouring neck.

  • Patent number: 9744875
Abstract: A battery comprises a number n of battery module strings, wherein n is a natural number greater than or equal to two. The battery module strings have several battery modules, and one battery module has a coupling unit. The coupling unit is configured as a voltage transformer and couples the battery modules to each other. A method of controlling the battery includes supplying a load connected to the battery with a predefined and substantially constant total power. The total power corresponds to a sum of n individual powers of the n battery module strings. The method further includes setting n?1 string voltages, which are each present at the n?1 battery module strings, according to the total power, the load, and by defining a string voltage present at an nth battery module string with amplitude and phase position. At least two of the n individual powers are asymmetrical to each other.

  • Patent number: 9531211
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for charging an intermediate circuit capacitor in an electric drive unit comprising an electric motor. The intermediate circuit capacitor is charged by an intermediate circuit current that is supplied by a battery. The output voltage of the battery is settable to one or more voltage values. A target value of the intermediate circuit current is determined, and an actual value of the intermediate circuit current is ascertained. The actual value of the intermediate circuit current is then compared with the target value of the intermediate circuit current. An optimal output voltage of the battery is determined on the basis of the comparison of the actual value of the intermediate circuit current with the target value of the intermediate circuit current. Then, the optimal output voltage of the battery is set.

  • Patent number: 9401614
Abstract: A method is used for controlling a battery having at least one battery module line with a plurality of battery modules that are connected in series. Each battery module has at least one battery cell, at least one coupling unit, a first connection, and a second connection. Each battery module is configured to assume one of at least two switching states dependent on a control of the coupling unit. The different switching states correspond to different voltage values between the first connection and the second connection of the battery module. The method includes determining a ranking among the battery modules. The method also includes engaging the battery modules in a supply of a desired output voltage of the battery module line using the ranking. The battery modules compare respective battery module operating states among one another and determine the ranking on the basis of the comparison.
