  • Patent number: 10530802
Abstract: A method of detecting malicious software (malware) includes receiving a file and storing a memory baseline for a system. The method also includes copying the file to the system, executing the file on the system, terminating operation of the system, and storing a post-execution memory map. • Publication number: 20190216430
Abstract: A method for ultrasound flow imaging includes transmitting a set of transmission beams through a region of interest having a plurality of spatial locations. The method further includes generating demodulated data in response to the set of transmission beams. Further, the method includes obtaining a plurality of wave-number vectors and location response data corresponding to each spatial location. Moreover, the method includes determining a plurality of Doppler frequency values based on the location response data and determining a flow vector for each spatial location based on the plurality of Doppler frequency values and the plurality of wave-number vectors. The method also includes generating a flow vector image based on the flow vectors corresponding to the plurality of spatial locations within the region of interest, where the flow vector image is representative of a magnitude and direction of blood flow in the region of interest.

  • Publication number: 20190194096
Abstract: The present application provides a hydrodefluorination process for the preparation of hydrofluoroalkenes by catalyzed substitution of one or more F atoms of a C2-C30 fluoroalkene, or a C2-C10 fluoroalkene, with one or more H atoms using a hydride source, such as a silane, and copper catalyst. During this process at least one C—F bond in the fluoroakene is converted to a C—H bond. The process is useful in the manufacture of hydrofluoroalkenes, such as hydrofluoroalkenes employed as, for example, refrigerants and blowers. Also provided are precatalyst compositions for performing the process, and formulations manufactured from hydrofluoroalkenes produced using the process.

  • Patent number: 10297176
Abstract: A swinging banner display having a tube handle that doubles as a container for the banner when not being displayed. The banner is attached to a rod which is rotatably attached to the tube handle. The tube handle is sized to fit within a hand but large enough to hold the banner, shaft and disc when the banner is furled. A rotatable disc inside the tube handle has a knob on the perimeter that engages with ribs on the inside of the tube handle to make a rattling noise when the banner is rotated.

  • Publication number: 20180374378
Abstract: A system includes a display device, one or more processors, and one or more computer-readable storage media communicably connected to the one or more processors and having instructions stored thereon that cause the one or more processors to: display a question on the display device, the question corresponding to a first category from among a plurality of categories; receive an input in response to the question from an input device associated with the display device; analyze the input to determine a quantifiable outcome based on the input; calculate a probabilistic value for the first category based on the quantifiable outcome; select a subsequent question based on the probabilistic value; and display the subsequent question on the display device.

  • Publication number: 20180364876
Abstract: A computing device runs multiple activities concurrently and provides at least two modes for interacting with the activities. The user may toggle between the modes as desired. In a full-screen mode, one activity occupies substantially an entire display screen. In a windowed mode, the activity is visible within a window, and a portion of at least one other window is also visible. In the windowed mode, the user can cause windows to move, thereby changing focus from one activity to another. For example, the window having focus can be moved off the screen, to be replaced by a new window that is then given focus. The windows are ordered in a sequence and move in concert with one another; pushing one window off one edge of the screen causes a new window to appear at the opposite edge. A persistent positional relationship can be established among windows.

  • Patent number: 10021129
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for malware scanning and detection in a computing system. In one exemplary embodiment, the method includes launching, in a computing device of the computing system, a virtual machine, and launching, in the virtual machine of the computing device, an internet browser. The method also includes requesting, by the internet browser, data from a web page, and performing, using one or more analysis tools, analysis on the web page. In the method, performing analysis on the web page includes performing monitoring and recording of system application programming interface (API) calls, and creating software objects associated with the web page. The method also includes performing antivirus scanning of the software objects, de-obfuscating JavaScript associated with the software objects, and correlating data associated with the performed analysis to determine if the web page is a malicious web page.

  • Patent number: 9916988
Abstract: Techniques and structures for protecting etched features during etch mask removal. In embodiments, a mask is patterned and a substrate layer etched to transfer the pattern. Subsequent to etching the substrate layer, features patterned into the substrate are covered with a sacrificial material backfilling the etch mask. At least a top portion of the mask is removed with the substrate features protected by the sacrificial material. The sacrificial material and any remaining portion of the mask are then removed. In further embodiments, a gate contact opening etched into a substrate layer is protected with a sacrificial material having the same composition as a first material layer of a multi-layered etch mask. A second material layer of the etch mask having a similar composition as the substrate layer is removed before subsequently removing the sacrificial material concurrently with the first mask material layer.

  • Patent number: 9759690
Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products for nondestructive ultrasound imaging are provided. An example method defines a plurality of subarrays, each comprising a plurality of ultrasound transducer elements. The method transmits a plurality of ultrasound beams from each of the plurality of subarrays, each ultrasound beam being transmitted at a preset beamsteering angle. Subsequent to each transmit, the method receives, at the array, a plurality of ultrasound reflections corresponding to the plurality of ultrasound beams. For each point to be imaged, the method selects one set of received element data for each of the plurality of subarrays. The selected set of element data corresponds to an ultrasound beam having a focal point closest to the point to be imaged. Finally, the method reconstructs a point to be imaged based on the selected received element data, and constructs an ultrasound image by repeating this process for each point to be imaged.
