  • Publication number: 20150049578
Abstract: Systems and methods for ultrasound beamforming are provided. One method includes obtaining ultrasound data using receive line spacing that changes as a function of depth, determining a number of transmit events to combine at each of a plurality of points for use in combining the obtained ultrasound data, and aligning the ultrasound data with time delays computed from a probe geometry used to obtain the ultrasound data. • Publication number: 20140379262
Abstract: Methods for quantifying a hydrothermal impact on a stratigraphic unit are disclosed herein. In particular, the described methods may be used to quantify hydrothermal anomalies of a stratigraphic unit of a geological reservoir, where porosity reduction in the stratigraphic unit would have been accelerated some point or points in the past. Embodiments of the method generally comprise (a) receiving first data indicative of a reservoir temperature associated with the stratigraphic unit, (b) receiving second data indicative of estimates of the trapping temperatures associated with a plurality of fluid inclusions in a sample of the stratigraphic unit, (c) generating comparison data indicative of a comparison between the first data and the second data, and (d) generating based on the comparison data an impact parameter indicative of a hydrothermal impact on the stratigraphic unit.

  • Patent number: 8856206
Abstract: Provided are a method, system, and article of manufacture for maintaining message versions at nodes in a network. The nodes in the network maintain version information of nodes in the network. The version information for the nodes indicates a message version number of messages supported at the node. The nodes supporting one message version number can receive messages having that message version number. The nodes use the version information to determine whether there is at least one common message version number among the nodes The nodes supporting the at least one common message version number negotiate to join a quorum of the nodes having the at least one common message version number.

  • Patent number: 8582865
Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for increasing the frame rate of real-time 3D ultrasound imaging. In one embodiment, the frame rate for generating a pseudo-shaded 2D projection image may be increased by controlling the image reconstruction process. Rather than beamforming, scan converting, and interpolating a 3D voxelized data set of an entire scanned volume, only samples required for generating the 2D projection image may be reconstructed. The element data measured from each transducer array element may be combined to directly reconstruct those 3D image samples required by the volume rendering algorithm to generate the 2D projection image.

  • Publication number: 20130298057
Abstract: A computing device runs multiple activities concurrently and provides at least two modes for interacting with the activities. The user may toggle between the modes as desired. In a full-screen mode, one activity occupies substantially an entire display screen. In a windowed mode, the activity is visible within a window, and a portion of at least one other window is also visible. In the windowed mode, the user can cause windows to move, thereby changing focus from one activity to another. For example, the window having focus can be moved off the screen, to be replaced by a new window that is then given focus. The windows are ordered in a sequence and move in concert with one another; pushing one window off one edge of the screen causes a new window to appear at the opposite edge. A persistent positional relationship can be established among windows.

  • Patent number: 8565067
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for link maintenance. A plurality of state machines operate a plurality of first links between data management nodes with each first link in an online state. A transition module transitions the plurality of first links from the online state to a degraded state and from the online state to an offline pending state in response to an offline request. The transition module further transitions the plurality of first links from the degraded state to an online pending state when a degraded link time interval expires and from the offline pending state to an offline state if all pending tasks on the plurality of first links are completed. The transition module further transitions the plurality of first links from the online pending state to the online state if each first link is validated.
