  • Patent number: 11902187
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for using frequency spreading during communications, in particular communications in which multiple carriers (or subcarriers) are used. The frequency spreading may comprise generating a plurality of spreading data vectors based on transmit data, such as by application of a spreading matrix to portions of the transmit data. Each spreading data vector may comprise a plurality of elements, for assignment to the multiple subcarriers. The receive-side device may then apply frequency de-spreading, to obtain the original transmit data. The frequency de-spreading may comprise use of the same spreading matrix on data extracted from received signals, which (the data) may correspond to the plurality of spreading data vectors.

  • Patent number: 11899950
Abstract: Domain-specific initial high-speed memory configuration policies are created by analyzing workloads of storage systems deployed in each of a plurality of customer domains. Each domain-specific initial high-speed memory configuration policy specifies the size of both a mirrored policy region and a non-mirrored policy region. The sizes of the mirrored and non-mirrored policy regions are based on the respective proportion of read IO and write IO operations in the analyzed workloads of each customer domain. Each domain-specific initial high-speed memory configuration policy also specifies a distribution of slot sizes that should be created in each of the policy regions, based on read IO and write IO histograms created from the analyzed workloads in each customer domain. When a new storage system is deployed, the customer domain where the new storage system will be used is determined, and the high-speed memory configuration policy for the domain is applied to the storage system.

  • Patent number: 11900206
Abstract: A barcode reader for detecting a printing anomaly is described herein. The barcode reader may receive read data associated with a read operation involving a barcode reader and a barcode. The barcode reader may process, using an anomaly detection model, the read data to determine an anomaly status associated with the barcode being printed by a printer. The anomaly detection model may be trained based on reference decoding metric information associated with corresponding reference images that depict barcodes associated with one or more printing anomalies. The barcode reader may determine, based on the anomaly status, a printer status associated with the printer. The barcode reader may provide an indication of the printer status.

  • Patent number: 11899701
Abstract: A method may include determining that input text data includes a first keyword from a first set of keywords. The method also includes determining a similarity between the input text data and a first stored text string that has previously been identified as a false positive match for the first keyword, and based on the similarity, generating a first false positive score corresponding to the input text data. Further, the method includes determining a number of keywords, from a second set of keywords, that are included in the input text data, and based on the number of keywords, generating a second false positive score corresponding to the input text data. The method also includes calculating a final false positive score corresponding to the input text data based on the first false positive score and the second false positive score.

  • Publication number: 20240047986
Abstract: Techniques and mechanisms for improving an efficiency of power delivery resources. In one embodiment, switch circuitry is operated based on an indication from an integrated circuit (IC) die that circuitry of the IC die is ready to accommodate a low power state which disables a delivery of power to the IC die by a voltage regulator (VR). The switch circuitry is operated, based on a control signal is also used to disable said power delivery, to disable or otherwise prevent one or more conductive paths which are each between a respective two of a battery pack, a voltage regulator, or a battery charger. In another embodiment, the low power state enable a rail for circuitry which is to provide a real time clock signal to the IC die, but disables any other rails which power the IC die.

  • Publication number: 20240048485
Abstract: Techniques for using more-specific routing to perform scalable Layer-2 (L2) stretching of subnets across hybrid-cloud environments. Routing tables in a public cloud may allow for routes that are more specific than the default local route, and the more-specific routes may be used to send all traffic to a dedicated, cloud router. The more-specific routes are set up for a VPC where a subnet resides such that the more specific-routes cover at least a portion of subnet range. The next hop for the more-specific routes point to the cloud router which is capable of doing host routing and segmentation extension. Thus, traffic originating from endpoints in a VPC is routed to the cloud router, and the cloud router determines whether the traffic is to be re-routed back to a destination endpoint in the VPC (or another cloud location), or sent to a destination endpoint residing in the on-premises site.

  • Publication number: 20240047196
Abstract: A selective thermal atomic layer deposition (ALD) process is disclosed. The process may comprise loading a substrate comprising a dielectric material, and a metal, into a reactor. The substrate may be reacted with a non-plasma based oxidant, thereby forming an oxidized metal surface on the metal. The substrate may be heated and exposed to a passivation agent that adsorbs more onto the oxidized metal than the dielectric material. Such exposure may form a passivation layer on the oxidized metal surface, and the substrate may be exposed to a silicon precursor that adsorbs more onto the dielectric material than the passivation layer, forming a chemi-adsorbed silicon-containing layer on the dielectric material. The substrate may be exposed to the non-plasma based oxidant, that simultaneously partially oxidizes the passivation layer, and oxidizes the chemi-adsorbed silicon-containing layer to form a silicon-containing dielectric film on the dielectric material.
