  • Patent number: 11665305
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to device and method for processing frames. For example, a buffer of a device is arranged to store a plurality of rendered frames rendered at a frame rendering rate and a time stamp for each of rendered frames. A compositor of a device is arranged to obtain a timestamp of a synchronisation signal for synchronising the display of frames with a display refresh rate. In response to obtaining a timestamp of a synchronisation signal, a compositor is arranged to trigger access to a buffer to obtain two rendered frames having timestamps closest to a timestamp of a synchronisation signal. An interpolator of a device is arranged to generate an interpolated rendered frame for display by performing an interpolation operation using two rendered frames. An interpolation operation takes into account the difference between timestamps of each of two rendered frames and a timestamp of a synchronisation signal.

  • Patent number: 11663094
Abstract: Examples provided herein describe a method for reducing recovery time for an application. For example, a first physical processor of a computing device may monitor, based on a first application instance of the application running in a first mode, for failure detection of the first application instance running on a first computing device. The first physical processor may determine that the first application instance is to be changed from the first mode to a second mode. Based on the determination, the first physical processor may validate that a second application instance can run in the first mode by performing a data integrity compliance check. Responsive to validating that the second application instance can run in the first mode, the first physical processor may facilitate running of the second application instance in the first mode.

  • Patent number: 11663840
Abstract: A method and system are provided for removing noise from document images using a neural network-based machine learning model. A dataset of original document images is used as an input source of images. Random noise is added to the original document images to generate noisy images, which are provided to a neural network-based denoising system that generates denoised images. Denoised images and original document images are evaluated by a neural network-based discriminator system, which generates a predictive output relating to authenticity of evaluated denoised images. Feedback is provided backpropagation updates to train both the denoising and discriminator systems. Training sequences are iteratively performed to provide the backpropagation updates, such that the denoising system is trained to generate denoised images that can pass as original document images while the discriminator system is trained to improve the accuracy in predicting the authenticity of the images presented.

  • Patent number: 11663063
Abstract: Embodiments for reducing panic shutdown of components in a pipelined data processing system. Components are monitored for health, processing progress, and dependencies during normal system operation. A directed graph is generated showing non-circular dependencies of components in the pipeline. Deadlock of a particular component may or may not signal a panic condition depending on whether any of its presently downstream and depended on components are operating properly. The continuously monitored knowledge of proper operation of all downstream components is thus used to intelligently apply or defer panic alerts to keep the system operating uninterrupted from panic conditions that might soon or eventually be fixed by continued operation of the system pipeline.

  • Publication number: 20230158811
Abstract: Apparatus and method for using a line laser (LL) to quickly mark a substrate or media by utilizing a laser additive on/within the substrate/media, which greatly reduces the power requirement for marking the substrate/media. The combination of the LL wide swath (>305 mm) and the improved media/surface sensitivity to laser wavelength allows the LL marking system to achieve faster marking than other systems. The LL is mounted over a transport which transports the sensitized substrate/media past the LL for marking. The desired image is projected from the LL line by line in synch with the moving media and once the media passes the beam path of the LL, marking is complete. In this case, the media has been physically-altered via the heat generated by the LL interacting with the photosensitized media and is permanent. A second method would use a photosensitizing agent coated on top of the media to be marked.

  • Patent number: 11657168
Abstract: A system for detecting data leakage is disclosed. The system intercepts web traffic data, de-duplicates the web traffic data, and extracts data elements from the web traffic data. The system further groups the data elements into multiple clusters based on data types associated with the data elements. The system then identifies data elements in a cluster that were previously sent to a user and identifies allowed data elements from an allow table that are supposed to be sent to the user. The system determines whether there is a data leakage by determining whether the identified data elements in the cluster comprises at least one data element that is not in the identified allowed data elements in the allow table.

The system retrieves a user preference associated with a user profile and receives a selection of a first media asset and a second media asset from the plurality of media assets for presentation on a user device. The system parses the respective audio streams of the first media asset and the second media asset to identify one or more preferred audio segments based on the user preference and generates the playlist of the identified one or more preferred audio segments. Based on a generated audio playlist, the system generates, for presentation on the user device, the video stream for each of the first media asset and the second media asset and the playlist of the identified one or more preferred audio segments.

  • Publication number: 20230153939
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a machine learning application for automatically reading filled-in forms. There are multiple steps involved in using a computer to accurately read a handwritten form. First, the system identifies the form. Second, the system identifies what parts of the form are important. Third, the important parts are extracted as image data (known as shreds). Finally, fourth, the system interprets the shreds. This application is focused on steps two and three of that overall process. The disclosed techniques relate to training a machine learning system on a given series of forms such that when provided future filled-in forms within that series, the system is able to extract the portions of the filled-in form that are important/relevant.

Abstract: A three-dimensional (3D) metal object manufacturing apparatus is configured to eject melted metal drops from an ejector head at different velocities to form different portions of metal object layers with different measurable values of a same physical property. The different velocities are achieved by operating the ejector head with two different electrical voltages. The greater voltage that achieves the higher velocity is about 25% greater than the voltage used to achieve the lesser velocity. By operating the ejector head with the two different voltages different portions of the object can be formed with different physical property characteristics.
