  • Publication number: 20210121908
Abstract: A piezoelectric liquid cartridge for a dispenser unit a cartridge body, a piezoelectric discharge nozzle supported by the body and including a micro-perforated vibratory plate a liquid reservoir supported by the body, and a wick. A liquid path from the liquid reservoir to the piezoelectric nozzle includes a channel. The wick is at least partially positioned in the channel. The wick includes a first fibrous wick portion in engagement with the vibratory plate of the piezoelectric discharge nozzle and a second non-fibrous wick portion. The piezoelectric cartridge is installable in the housing of the dispenser unit with electrical contacts of the cartridge connectable to corresponding electrical contacts of the dispenser to enable the micro-perforated vibratory plate to release atomized liquid particles from the piezoelectric discharge nozzle.

  • Publication number: 20200261613
Abstract: A dispenser includes a housing having a power source. A piezoelectric cartridge is installable within the housing and includes a cartridge body, a piezoelectric discharge nozzle supported by the cartridge body and a micro-perforated vibratory plate. The discharge nozzle is powered by the dispenser when the piezoelectric cartridge is installed within the housing of the dispenser. A fragrance bottle is supported by the cartridge body. The cartridge body further has a liquid fragrance path from the bottle to the piezoelectric nozzle. The path includes a channel with a wick. The wick is in contact with the vibratory plate of the piezoelectric discharge nozzle.

  • Patent number: 10675373
Abstract: A fragrance dispenser unit has a piezoelectric discharge nozzle and a disposable snap-in air freshener containing aromatic liquid. The dispenser unit incorporates a battery power source and a piezoelectric driver circuit on a printed circuit board. The dispenser unit The cartridge includes a housing and an induction-sealed fragrance bottle that snaps into a socket at the bottom of the housing when the cartridge is to be activated. A membrane seal on the mouth of the bottle is pierced by a knife in the housing as the bottle is snapped into place. Liquid fragrance is directed to a micro-perforated vibratory plate in the piezoelectric nozzle by an airtight path that includes: first, a horizontal channel; second, a vertical wick; and, finally, a horizontal wick.

  • Patent number: 10562670
Abstract: A refill for a commercial fragrance dispenser includes a bottle that is capable of irremovably locking into place within a respective fragrance distribution elements, or cage. Such a configuration may prevent inadvertent spilling of fragrance from the bottle. A lock preventer may enable the bottle to be stored within the cage while preventing full insertion of the bottle of the refill into the receptacle of the cage of the refill until assembly of the bottle with the cage and of the cage with the body of a commercial fragrance dispenser are desired. Methods for refilling fragrance dispensers, in which the bottle of a refill is locked within a cage of the refill and coupled to the cage or dispenser, are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20190255209
Abstract: A spill-resistant air freshener canister includes: a supply vessel filled with aromatic liquid that has a threaded mouth sealed with a puncturable membrane; a cylindrical inner sleeve incorporating a socket that sealably engages the threaded mouth of the supply vessel, the sleeve also having a cylindrical axial aperture at the bottom of the socket, and at least one seepage aperture at the very bottom of the socket which enables liquid from inside the supply vessel to escape in a radially outward direction to the exterior of the cylindrical sleeve; a cylindrical wick surrounding the cylindrical inner sleeve; and an evaporator cage into which the cylindrical sleeve is inserted, the evaporator cage having a fully-enclosed bottom portion containing a central projecting blade that fits through the axial aperture at the bottom of the socket. The bottom portion is ultrasonically welded to the bottom of the cylindrical inner sleeve.

  • Publication number: 20190240367
Abstract: A spill-proof, passive air freshener refill cartridge, effective for at least sixty days, includes both a wick assembly and a supply canister filled with a volatile liquid fragrance. The volatile liquid fragrance is dispersed into the air by a caged tripartite wick assembly. The tripartite wick assembly has a cylindrical wall component, from which most dispersal occurs, a circular laminar component, and a pointed vertical pole component. The circular laminar component is in contact with both the base of the cylindrical wall component and the top of the vertical pole component, which extends downwardly from the center of the circular laminar component into the supply canister containing the volatile liquid fragrance. The volatile liquid fragrance is transported via the pointed vertical pole component to the circular laminar component to the cylindrical wall component.
