  • Patent number: 10172051
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for optimizing service recovery during manual closed subscription group (CSG) cell selection in a long term evolution (LTE) network. A user equipment (UE) receives a registration rejection with a temporary cause from a network of a CSG cell selected through the manual CSG cell selection. It is determined from the registration rejection whether the temporary cause comprises a cause value that allows the UE to return to a saved or previously visited public land mobile network (PLMN). Service recovery of the UE is performed with a registered PLMN (RPLMN), if the temporary cause does not comprise the cause value that allows the UE to return to the saved or previously visited PLMN.

  • Patent number: 9510319
Abstract: Several methods and systems for location estimation are disclosed. In an embodiment, the method includes performing a primary wireless scan to identify a first set of access points at a user location associated with a first user location estimate. A secondary wireless scan is performed at pre-defined time intervals subsequent to the primary wireless scan. A set of access points is identified corresponding to each secondary wireless scan. The method further comprises detecting a presence or an absence of user motion based on a number of shared access points between the first set of access points and a set of access points corresponding to each secondary wireless scan. A current user location is estimated to be the first user location estimate if the user motion is detected to be absent, or a second user location estimate computed based on geolocation signals if the user motion is detected to be present.

  • Publication number: 20160344812
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for data recovery objective modeling. For example, a data recovery objective model may be defined for a storage network environment. The data recovery objective model may be defined based upon a client data ingest rate corresponding to a data change rate by one or more clients of data stored by a first storage controller. The data recovery objective model may be defined based upon an effective throughput of a data transfer utility for replicating modified data from first storage of the first storage controller to second storage of a second storage controller. Statistical utilization data may be collected from the storage network environment, and may be evaluated using the data recovery objective model to determine a data recovery objective metric. If the data recovery objective metric does not satisfy a client specified objective, then a computing resource recommendation may be provided.

  • Publication number: 20160171395
Abstract: A data processing system receives location data points from computing devices. The system annotates the location data points with entities and determines a duration each of the computing devices was at corresponding entities. The system aggregates the location data points into a set of sequences based on the duration and the entities and stores the set of sequences in a data record. The system accesses the database record including a set of sequences generated from location data points received from computing devices. The system receives, from a computing device, a request for a location sequence that includes a query. The system identifies an attribute of the computing device. The system identifies a sequence based on the set of sequences using the query and the attribute. The system transmits the sequence for display on a display device.
