  • Publication number: 20250150918
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a user equipment (UE) that detects, while in a radio resource control inactive state and optionally while in a small data transmission session, that beam information is to be reported to a base station. This detection is performed based on some criteria, such as the current (serving) downlink beam quality dropping below a threshold amount. In response to detecting that beam information is to be reported to the base station, the UE initiates a random access procedure in order to provide the beam information (e.g., one or more candidate beams to switch to) to the base station. This beam information notifies the base station to change to a new serving beam due to, for example, the quality of the current serving beam dropping because of movement of the UE, blockages between the UE and the base station, and so forth.

  • Publication number: 20250151095
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a user equipment (UE) that acquires, from a base station, a sidelink (SL) grant that includes a channel occupancy time (COT) for part of an unlicensed spectrum allowing the acquiring UE to transmit SL control and data information to a secondary UE. The acquiring UE can also share the COT with the secondary UE, allowing the secondary UE to transmit SL control and data to the acquiring UE or another UE. The acquiring UE performs clear channel assessment (CCA) on one or more SL resources associated with the SL grant. The UE returns an SL hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback to the base station based at least in part on a status of the CCA.

  • Publication number: 20250150118
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods, apparatuses, and systems that support reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) management in wireless systems. For instance, aspects of the disclosure enable operational aspects of an RIS to be controlled to reduce signal interference caused by operation of the RIS. Aspects of the disclosure also enable RIS control to be allocated between different base stations, such as to enable base stations to access an RIS for providing signal communication for UEs served by the base stations.

  • Publication number: 20250150148
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a user equipment (UE) that performs beam management while in a radio resource control inactive (RRC_INACTIVE) state. In one or more implementations, while in the RRC_INACTIVE state, the UE triggers generation of beam information for a base station. This beam information indicates a new serving beam on which, for example, a paging message is to be received from the base station. The UE generates and transmits the beam information to the base station.

  • Publication number: 20250142594
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a user equipment (UE) that acquires a channel occupancy time (COT) for part of an unlicensed spectrum, allowing the acquiring UE to transmit sidelink (SL) control and data information to a secondary UE, and furthermore share the COT with the secondary UE. Sharing the COT with the secondary UE allows the secondary UE to transmit SL control and data to the acquiring UE or another UE. To initiate COT sharing, the UE that acquires the COT transmits a COT sharing indicator to one or more destination identifiers (IDs), notifying one or more secondary UEs of the COT sharing. The COT sharing indicator may include any of various information, such as remaining channel occupancy duration, priority, one or more destination IDs, offset indicating when the COT sharing may be transmitted, one or more resource pool IDs, and so forth.
