  • Publication number: 20220382715
Abstract: Provided a computer program product, system, and method for notifying a cache file system of changes to files in a source file system served from the cache file system. The source node establishes a local share of a cache file system at the cache node. The cache file system at the cache node comprises a local share of a source file system at the source node. In response to modifying a source file in the source file system, a source control file for the source file in the local share of the cache file system is updated to indicate the source file is modified. In response to updating the source control file, sending, to the cache node, indication of the updating of the source control file to cause the cache node to update a cache control file to indicate a change to the source file at the source node.

  • Publication number: 20220385677
Abstract: A computer-implemented method that secures cloud services from imposters automatically activating an imposter security service (ISS) responsive to receiving an imposter identifier (IID) of an imposter from an identity access and management system (IAMS). The ISS comprises a manipulation mapping table (MMT) that stores configurable factors to assist in control of execution of a cloud service security element (CSSE) in a respective cloud service of the cloud services. The ISS also comprises a decision engine (DE) that interacts with the MMT. The method exchanges imposter security information between the ISS and the CSSE and between the MMT and the DE, and directs the imposter security information to be sent to security information and event management (SIEM).

  • Patent number: 11509527
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide an assisted network change service. A network device stores a record of network resources for a customer network and generates, based on the record, a visual representation of the network topology for a selected site of the customer network. The network device receives, from the customer, input for a change to configuration parameters of one of the network resources and verifies if the change to the configuration parameters is compatible with other settings in the customer network. When the change to the configuration parameters is compatible with other settings in the customer network, the network device generates a change request based on the configuration parameters and invokes provisioning to implement the change request for the customer network.

  • Publication number: 20220366104
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system provide the ability to perform a drop test using a response surface. Inputs including a target safety factor (T-SF), a drop height, and a computer model, are acquired. An initial template is evaluated by computing a safety factor for a set of orientations, for each model point MP in the computer model across a set of times (t). A minimum safety factor is determined and a response surface for the model is generated. An actual safety factor SFm is generated by conducting a drop test simulation of the model based on a point having the minimum safety factor and a corresponding orientation. Consistency/validity of the actual safety factor is compared to the target safety factor and the model either passes or additional points may be added to the set of points and the process repeats based on an updated response surface.

  • Publication number: 20220359024
Abstract: The non-volatile memory includes a control circuitry that is communicatively coupled to an array of memory cells that are arranged word lines. The control circuitry is configured to program the memory cells using a multi-pass programming operation which includes a first pass and a second pass. The first pass programs the memory cells to a first number of data states, and the second pass programs the memory cells to a greater second number of data states. For at least one word line, during the second pass, a voltage that is applied to at least one memory cell is reduced from a verify voltage by an offset which is determined as a function of a data state of an adjacent memory cell of an adjacent word line and wherein the first pass but not the second pass has been completed in the adjacent word line.

  • Patent number: 11487557
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for upgrading DevOps tools in DevOps toolchains. An upgraded version of a DevOps platform tool is detected. A snapshot of an existing tool image corresponding to a current version of the DevOps platform tool is taken. Cloud service provider profile information, existing tool profile information corresponding to the existing tool image, and replacement tool profile information corresponding to replacement tool image are accessed. A DevOps platform is upgraded including deploying a replacement tool image corresponding to the upgraded version in accordance with the cloud service provider profile information, the existing tool profile information, the replacement tool profile information, and a DevOps platform category. When the upgrade is complete, the existing tool image is removed and the DevOps platform pointed to the replacement tool image. The snapshot is retained in accordance with rollback settings.

  • Publication number: 20220345366
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide a co-managed configuration service. A network device stores parameters for the co-managed configuration service. The parameters identify exposed services for an enterprise network that uses devices from a network service provider. The network device receives, via a customer portal, a vendor-agnostic change request for the enterprise network. The change request includes a user role and a change request name for one of the exposed services. The network device authenticates the change request based on the user role and the change request name and retrieves vendor director information for an SDN device implementing the configuration change. The network device invokes, in response to the change request, the configuration change for the enterprise network based on the vendor director information.

  • Publication number: 20220345457
Abstract: Access to secured items in a computing system is requested instead of being persistent. Access requests may be granted on a just-in-time basis. Anomalous access requests are detected using machine learning models based on historic patterns. Models utilizing conditional probability or collaborative filtering also facilitate the creation of human-understandable explanations of threat assessments. Individual machine learning models are based on historic data of users, peers, cohorts, services, or resources. Models may be weighted, and then aggregated in a subsystem to produce an access request risk score. Scoring principles and conditions utilized in the scoring subsystem may include probabilities, distribution entropies, and data item counts. A feedback loop allows incremental refinement of the subsystem. Anomalous requests that would be automatically approved under a policy may instead face human review, and low threat requests that would have been delayed by human review may instead be approved automatically.

  • Publication number: 20220342214
Abstract: Techniques for artifact mitigation in an optical system are disclosed. Light associated with a world object is received at the optical system, which is characterized by a world side and a user side. Light associated with a virtual image is projected onto an eyepiece of the optical system, causing a portion of the light associated with the virtual image to propagate toward the user side and light associated with an artifact image to propagate toward the world side. A dimmer of the optical system positioned between the world side and the eyepiece is adjusted to reduce an intensity of the light associated with the artifact image impinging on the dimmer and an intensity of the light associated with the world object impinging on the dimmer.
