  • Patent number: 9886563
Abstract: Systems for managing personalized access to shared online objects. A user accesses a server in a cloud-based environment, wherein the server is interfaced with storage devices that store one or more content objects. The server receives communications packets comprising at least one session attribute, wherein receiving the one or more communications packets is responsive, either directly or indirectly, to an act of the user to invoke a new content access session. The session attribute is used to generate personalized workspace properties that are based on explicitly-provided information or based on inferences that pertain to the invoked content access session. Access to content objects is personalized using explicit or inferred workspace session properties. Personalization includes any aspects of branding preferences, working group colleagues, roles, privileges, friends, etc. Personalization can be based on personalized workspace properties that are inferred based on rules or combinations of data.

  • Patent number: 9860776
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and apparatuses for multi-carrier transmissions over adjacent channels that reduce self-jamming due to asymmetric interference. In an aspect, a large bandwidth load-base equipment (LBE) carrier may be provided such that CCA is performed jointly over the entire bandwidth. In another aspect, additional CCA timeslots may be used to synchronize the two carriers. In a further aspect, an extended CCA may be performed on a primary unlicensed carrier while a simple CCA may be performed on a secondary unlicensed carrier. In yet another aspect, LBE may be deployed on some carriers while frame-base equipment (FBE) may be deployed on other carriers.

  • Publication number: 20170339683
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication. In one method, a control format indicator value for a frame may be received over a physical carrier in a shared spectrum. Based on the control format indicator value, a number of subframes of the frame to be used by a base station for downlink transmissions over the physical carrier may be determined. The control format indicator value may indicate an end of transmission, if data is to be transmitted during the frame, a number of subframes to be used for transmission, or whether the current subframe is the final subframe used for transmission. In some cases, a user equipment (UE) may use the control format indicator value to determine a sleep schedule. Further, ACK/NACK transmissions by a UE may be scheduled based on the control format indicator value.

  • Patent number: 9618593
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of performing magnetic resonance imaging with ultra-short echo time pulse sequences includes defining short T2 threshold limits for enhancement. A multi-echo ultra-short echo time response is acquired and a complex dataset is determined based on the multi-echo ultra-short echo time response. A plurality of phase components is identified from the complex dataset, wherein each phase component is associated with a T2 relaxation time within the short T2 threshold limits. A plurality of frequency components is also identified from the complex dataset, wherein each frequency component is associated with the T2 relaxation time within the short T2 threshold limits. Next, a magnitude dataset is derived from the complex dataset and a fitting algorithm is applied to the magnitude dataset to yield a plurality of magnitude components, wherein each magnitude component is associated with the T2 relaxation time within the short T2 threshold limits.

  • Publication number: 20170048919
Abstract: Various aspects related to techniques for harmonization between common reference signal (CRS) and demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) based transmission modes (TMs) in unlicensed spectrum are described. In one aspect, a downlink/uplink (DL/UL) subframe configuration may be signaled for each subframe. Information provided by the DL/UL subframe configuration may indicate whether the respective downlink subframe is a single-frequency network (MBSFN) subframe (associated with DM-RS-based TM) or a non-MBSFN subframe (associated with CRS-based TM). In another aspect, periodic as well as aperiodic channel state information (CSI) reporting requests may be supported. In yet another aspect, discontinued reception (DRX) wake ups for unlicensed carriers may be explicitly or implicitly indicated to a user equipment (UE) via a carrier in a licensed spectrum.

  • Publication number: 20160345326
Abstract: Techniques and devices are described for wireless communication. A base station may determine a parameter associated with a transmission such as hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback, a signal-to-noise ratio, or a determination regarding whether the transmission was successfully decoded. The base station may then determine a contention window adjustment value based on the parameter. The base station may then apply weighting factor (e.g., based on the time of the transmission, a number of devices being served, aspects of the transmission parameter, etc.) to the contention window adjustment value may adjust a contention window size for a second transmission based on the weighted contention window adjustment value (and, in some cases, other weighted adjustments based on other transmissions). The base station may then perform a clear channel assessment (CCA) based on the contention window size.

  • Patent number: 9483338
Abstract: In an example, network node failures may be predicted by extracting performance metrics for the network nodes from a plurality of data sources. A fail condition may be defined for the network nodes and input variables related to the fail condition for the network nodes may then be derived from the extracted performance metrics. A plurality of models may then be trained to predict the fail condition for the network nodes using a training set from the extracted performance metrics with at least one of the identified input variables. Each of the plurality of trained models may be validated using a validation set from the extracted performance metrics and may be rated according to predefined criteria. As a result, a highest rated model of the validated models may be selected to predict the fail condition for the network nodes.

  • Publication number: 20160135172
Abstract: A method and apparatus for uplink transmission by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a first assignment for one or more beacon signals. The first assignment includes a first resource assignment and a first interlace assignment. The UE may determine that a size of a payload of an uplink transmission is less than a threshold. The UE may transmit the one or more beacon signals according to the first assignment in response to the determination. The one or more beacon signals increase bandwidth occupancy by the UE over a contention-based spectrum. Additionally, the UE may receive a second assignment for the payload of the uplink transmission. The second assignment includes a second resource assignment and a second interlace assignment. The UE may transmit the payload of the uplink transmission according to the second resource assignment on the second interlace assignment.
