  • Patent number: 10446814
Abstract: A high voltage test and service module configured to electrically couple to a high voltage circuit of a vehicle is provided. The module includes a module housing, a fuse disposed in the module housing, a positive high voltage test point disposed in the module housing, and a negative high voltage test point disposed in the module housing. A first high voltage interlock (HVIL) connector is disposed in the module housing and configured to electrically couple to a high voltage interlock. A second HVIL connector is removably disconnected from the first HVIL connector to break the high voltage interlock. The positive and negative high voltage test points enable testing and monitoring of the high voltage circuit to determine if a voltage or current resides on the high voltage circuit before servicing thereof.

  • Publication number: 20180127850
Abstract: A process involves the continuous surface treatment of stainless steel coils with aqueous suspensions of rare earth oxide nano or micro particles or aqueous rare earth nitrate solutions of nano or micro particles. The surface treatment can be applied by roll coating, spraying or other conventional application techniques. The treated material in coil form is then heated in an annealing box using an open coil process whereby a wire is placed between coil laps to promote uniform atmosphere exposure. The atmosphere can be reducing or oxidizing and the times can vary from 1 hr to 100 hr. The atmosphere can also be wet (high dew point) or dry (low dew point). The surface treatment promotes a more uniform color to the subsequently developed oxide formed during anneal-type heat treatment. It also improves corrosion resistance of the processed stainless steel material. Materials treated in this manner are suitable for a variety of applications in the building systems, automotive and appliance markets.

  • Publication number: 20080063480
Abstract: An invertible retaining wall block comprises a front portion, a rear portion and a neck portion connecting the front portion and rear portion. A projection extends outwardly from the block to interlock with similar blocks in adjacent courses of blocks. One or more notches are provided to the front portion in order to allow the base course of blocks to be placed in an inverted orientation with respect to subsequent courses because the notch provides clearance for the protrusion.

  • Publication number: 20080053030
Abstract: A method of manufacturing retaining wall blocks includes providing a mold and disposing a core in the mold. A dry casting concrete mixture is introduced into the mold around the core. The mixture is compressed with a movable shoe to form a casting comprising two retaining wall blocks joined together. The core is removed to form an aperture through the casting, the aperture defined by a wall surface. The formed casting is released from the mold and then split along a plane extending through the aperture to define two retaining wall blocks such that each block, on an outer surface thereof, has a groove defined by a portion of the wall surface of the aperture. Each groove can divide the front surface of the block into two asymmetric panels.

  • Publication number: 20060283128
Abstract: A retaining wall with a series of differently sized, pre-formed blocks. Each block includes a projection and a recess, with the projection and recess arranged and configured so that each projection effectively engages a recess in an adjacent course to connect and align adjacent courses in registry. Retaining walls made of horizontal blocks may be stacked in columnar fashion or running bond fashion. The location of the indexing surface on a projection relative to the viewable surface of the block may be varied to enable adjacent courses to be coplanar or tiered in a variety of predetermined offset distances.

  • Publication number: 20060145050
Abstract: A mold box for forming differently sized retaining wall blocks includes first and second end walls and first and second sidewalls, which define an opening therebetween. A first divider plate is provided to the opening and located relative to the first and second end walls to divide the opening into a first section and a second section. The width of the first section is greater than the width of the second section. Additional divider plates may be provided to the opening to define additional sections wherein slugs for wall blocks formed by each section will have different widths.

  • Publication number: 20060129338
Abstract: A method for reducing the consequences and risks of failure in a hydrocarbon pipeline system includes identifying specific segments of pipelines the leakage of which could have an adverse impact on environment or safety, particularly in areas of high consequence, developing a baseline assessment plan for such segments by analyzing information including age, corrosion, and types of seams and joints and then establishing preventive and migitative measures including, where necessary, positioning emergency flow restricting devices in one or more pipeline segments.
